Freaky Flyers
3.5 Star Review  GameZone - Sep 14, 2003

Whether it be on the street, in the water, or in the air, cartoon-based cart racing has been seen as an oddball genre. On one hand, racing fans may pass these games up as cheap attempts to satisfy their fast-and-furious cravings. On the other end of the spectrum, gamers who enjoy the wacky-tacky genre, made famous by DIDDY KONG RACING, may think of racing as repetitious and boring. Fortunately, FREAKY FLYERS will attract some fans of both with its fun game play and creative concept. FREAKY FLYERS is a zany racing title that puts you in the cockpit with crazy characters with their own abilities and story.

3 Star Review  GameSpy - Aug 29, 2003

Originally conceived as a Dreamcast title over four years ago, Midway's Freaky Flyers has been given more than enough time for tweaking. 3.5 Star Review  IGN.com - Aug 5, 2003

We have to take our hats off to the folks at Midway. As despite its storied commercial failures, recurrent mediocrities, and rare successes in the last couple of years, its team has continued to plow forward in an attempt to knock the socks off faithful videogame owners. This year in particular has looked decidedly strong for the Chicago-based publisher, as titles like SpyHunter 2, The Suffering, and NBA Ballers all seem poised to take the market by surprise and deliver a solid lineup for the fall.
