GRAW 2
5 Star Review   By member infini2001 - Jan 2, 2008

Strengths: Good gameplay, graphics and sounds

Weakness: Continuation of GRAW 1?

I think GRAW 2 is very good and much better than GRAW 1. Its gameplay, AI, graphics and sounds, all of its game aspects, are improved. I like it a lot. I don't think it bothers me, but some people might think that it is a GRAW 1.5 because it is a continuation of GRAW 1 in some ways. Overall, it is an excellent game to play for fun.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (Xbox 360)
4 Star Review   By member shrike424242 - Sep 29, 2007

Strengths: Great tactical action game, nice graphics and sound, good computer AI

Weakness: Singleplayer is weak compared to multiplayer, more of an evolution than a overhaul

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 is a sequel to the previous title on the Xbox 360. The graphics have been cleaned up and the sound made better, making for a good feast for the eyes and ears. The gameplay has been tweaked a bit for better controls, though isn't a complete overhaul like the previous one was from previous games. The AI is upgraded, adding a bit of a challenge to the game, though the single player campaign is only a real lead-in to the online multiplayer. Previous fans will get it without hesitation, though tactical action fans should give it a look.

3 Star Review   By member egofed - Aug 24, 2007

Strengths: Good graphics, tactical strategy is still fun

Weakness: Exactly what you expect in gameplay, no surprises

Tom Clancy is still lending his name to tactical shooters, and amazingly enough, they still turn out to be quality products each time. Graw 2 is very similar to Graw 1, most people will enjoy being able to jump right in with their Graw 1 play experience providing all the information necessary to be successful, but the genre is getting a little stale to me. Pick this up if you love the first one, but Vegas might be the better game.

A second recon.
4 Star Review   By member Admiral_Ackbar - Jun 29, 2007

Strengths: All the greta that made GR1 so engaging.

Weakness: Only a modest upgrade in graphics and gameplay.

GR1 was a great game and Ghost Recon two is just as good. However, it isn't a major leap forward in the series and more like a basic sequel. There's been some graphical and gameplay improvements but nothing major. If you liked Ghost Recon, you'll like GR2. If you haven't played GR before, you'll find an enjoyable tactical FPS for the 360 in Ghost Recon 2.

GRAW returns to next gen
4 Star Review   By member bauerpower - May 31, 2007

Strengths: amazing graphics and dynamic lighting system, good score, multiplayer still as fun

Weakness: way too easy, very short, more of the same

GRAW 2 is recommended if you enjoyed the first game and want more. The single player is very short, however, and even on the hardest difficulty it was very, very easy. The focus of the game here is multiplayer, as additional maps and co-op missions are offered in this sequel. The game feels more of the same as the first one and feels like GRAW 1.5, but still polished as a shooter.

Ghost Recon 2 Advanced Warfighter
4 Star Review   By member markc72 - Apr 4, 2007

Strengths: Slightly upgraded graphics from original, Engrossing SP, Fun MP.

Weakness: Feels like GRAW 1.5, Camping in MP still

This game was only a slight upgrade from the original Ghost Recon. Not like it's a bad thing, but I was expecting a pretty big leap from last years great game. Graphics have been cleaned up a bit and some new add ons to the cover system. SP is a little short but still fun. MP is where it's at for the most fun. Camping is still a problem in most games, but the co-op is pretty fun to play with a bunch of friends trying to knock off the computer A.I. Bought it at a great price from Fry's Electronics when it first came out, so it was well worth the $35 I spent.

GRAW 2
5 Star Review   By member jinyu1 - Apr 3, 2007

Strengths: Impressive graphics, good cover system

Weakness: None so far

I am playing Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 after finishing Gears of War solo on hardcore and co-op on insane. The graphics is impressive, almost better than Gears of War. The cover system is good too - no need to press any button, just get close enough to get into cover. However, popping out and then back into the cover is a bit slow. Overall, the movement is slower than in Gears of War. I guess that is because GRAW 2 has a bit more strategy than Gears, which is mostly action-oriented. I highly recommend this game. It is much better than other shooters, such as Rainbow Six Vegas and Lost Planet.

Another great Tom Clancy story
5 Star Review   By member mchenoweth16 - Apr 2, 2007

Strengths: Amazing graphics and sound, exciting story

The Tom Clancy games continue to impress with stories that grip you and production in graphics and sound that give you the feeling of participating in the latest action blockbuster. Ghost Recon 2 is no different. Continuing the great storyline from the first one, this one picks up right after those events. You end up fighting between Mexico and the Southern US border. This time you have more support that you can call in as well as the Mexican resistance to back you up. Everything has been improved in this sequel from the already superb first one. The graphics have tons of technical nuances that make everything look very realistic, the animations haven't shown any of the problems that occasionally cropped up in the first, the sounds once again immerse you in the center of the action. With games like this, Ubisoft will continue to get my business.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
4 Star Review   By member cakeandpie - Mar 30, 2007

Strengths: -Graphics, Sound, Single-Player

Weakness: -Multi-Player

I had never played the original GRAW for xbox 360, but I've always been a fan of the Tom Clancy games. I usually like the Rainbow 6 and the Splinter Cell series a little more than the GR series, but this game is definitely starting to change my mind. The graphics and animations on the game are incredible, especially in the single player mode when you can see your character and you have a better view of the whole screen. The single player more in general is really strong - the addition of being able to control the drones and everything is very cool and definitely adds to the depth of the game. The environments are huge and the levels are a lot of fun. The only issue that I really have with the game is the multiplayer, which I usually play much more than single-player on games. The game is extremely different in this mode. You can't switch to a 3rd person view, you move very quickly and awkardly, and you cant really take cover behind things. With that said, it's still fun, just not as good. Overall the game is pretty great and I would definitely recommend it.

This is a must buy for shooter fans!
5 Star Review

Strengths: Multiplayer and online COOP

Weakness: No multiplayer cover system, "rock bushes"

This is a must buy for fans of shooting games. GRAW 2 is a step up from the original ghost recon game released a year ago. I really can't comment too much on the single player game of GRAW 2 because most of my time has been spent playing online multiplayer and COOP. Online COOP supports up to sixteen people while still being somewhat of a challenge. Multiplayer is a blast due to the enormous selection of weapons, and the differences between maps. For example, some maps are better played as a sniper while others can be played with weapons meant for close range. What I enjoy most about multiplayer mode is the recon drone. A good tactic is to keep the drone moving constantly (as it is more difficult to shoot down)as it electronically "paints" your opponents. Basically the drone will display where the enemy is located on your heads up display which makes flanking a cinch. Another aspect of the game I love is the rich environments. Jungle maps have a good deal of tall grass, bushes, and trees that makes ambushing simple. Just make sure to relocate after you drill a couple of people. My only major complaint is that some bushes can't be stepped through or over, and stop you in mid movement. I mean, you are an elite ghost and you can't even step over a bush? I have played rambow six vegas and gears of war and say that GRAW2 mp/coop is of similar quality. If you are still skeptical, feel free to download the demo on xbox live and try the multiplayer demo for yourself! Happy Hunting! ~Seagypsy1
