Ninja Blade
4 Star Review  productwiki.com - Dec 22, 2009

Ninja Blade is a PC and Xbox 360 game that is a hack and slash that incorporates context sensitive commands. This means that the player has to wade through hoards of infected people (zombies) and occasionally battle bosses that require complicated, graphically pleasing finishing moves. The main character is Ken Ogawa, a ninja that ends up being the only hope to save Tokyo from the parasitic outbreak. Ninja Blade doesnt focus on a open environment, or giving the player lots of choices - instead it focuses on intense, over the top action in a strict level climbing structure. The leveling up is standard, using little red orbs to upgrade weapons and unlock new moves. One nice thing about the game is its over the top violence, such as using cars and rubble flying through the air as platforms to jump off of, and one monster fight where you kill a spider ... PROS: (1) Deep and satisfying combo system (2) Moves look like they hurt (3) Finishing moves on regular enemies add some extra challenge and nice bonuses (4) Decent upgrade system (5) Good balance between weapons and magic ... CONS: (1) Quicktime events can get REALLY drawn out (2) Boss battles rely too much on pattern memorization (3) Completely non-sensical story (4) Relies too much on finding secret items and crates
