NCAA Football 07

With the new season about to start up, it was only a matter of time before EA released their annual college sports game NCAA Football to the world. What is new in this game, and how does the next generation game stack up to current generation versions? Read on to find out. There are plenty of things to keep players occupied in this game for a long time. You can go and practice various aspects of the game and hone your skills.

Acceptable but could have been better
2 Star Review

Strengths: graphics, OVERALL features

Weakness: NEW features

Overall this game was acceptable but there were no real improvements from NCAA 06 to NCAA 07. the games ended up being one in the same and a pointless addition to the NCAA series. hopefully NCAA 08 will be a larger improvement.

NCAA Football 2007 XBOX 360
1 Star Review   By member honphog79 - Aug 21, 2006

Strengths: Graphics

Weakness: Everything else

I bought this game thinking it was going to be a lot like the XBOX game with better graphics. Boy was I in for a big surprise. This game does have great graphics, but there is nothing else realistic about this game. It is missing most everything I liked about the previous NCAA Football games (i.e. spring drills, Race for the Heisman, magazine covers each week for dynasty mode, etc.). Dynasty mode on this game just plain stinks, and good luck recruiting. I could go on for days about how poor the gameplay is and how unrealistic/unfair it is. There isn't such a thing as a clean receiver route (play the game and you will see what I mean). The list goes on and on. I am only writing this review to save other gamers, like myself, their money. EA Sports has a lot to do on this game by next year because this one was a plain dud!!!!

Sadly Disapointed
2 Star Review   By member dhewlett - Jul 31, 2006

Strengths: Player on the front cover. Other than what was already there before...not many.

Weakness: Gameplay, New Features, Fun Factor

I have bought just about every NCAA Football game there is and this one is really just sub-par. This is the first EA NCAA game that I was not excited to get home from work and play. The buttons are all mixed up...Again...and this time there is no "reset to old settings" so you have to do it yourself. The new features are terrible. The momentum meeter in my opinion is not a good reflection of how momentum should be because somehow the system has trouble weighing the value. Second, the crowd feature is about as impressive as the number of drills you had to run to be drafed in the heisman mode last year. They took that feature out by the way instead of just making it better. This game is just not as fun. I would give it a year and hope that EA can pull themselves together and make a good football game. Complaining on a side note, this is what happens when you let a company have exclusive rights to the NCAA or NFL. They get lazy. Buy at your own risk.
