Slim and fun, will need extra equipment
Over-all, the gaming system is awesome. Love the graphics on the newer games and they play quickly. My only gripe is you'll be looking at extra cost for kinect, HD cable and Xbox live. The games are quick, but loading new content or saving can take a while. You will need an external hard drive if you're planning on anything more than a couple of games. I am satisfied with this system, much more mature gaming than my previous Wii.

free 4gb 360 with laptop purchase
This was definitely worth the investment. Not only did I get a new laptop that I am pleased with but I also have the xbox 360 now. I absolutely love my 360. For free, what more could you want. Sure, you have to purchase the games and everything separately. But I have about 7 games now that I play on there since I've bought this a few weeks ago and still have plenty of space on the internal harddrive. I will eventually buy an external harddrive for the system but for now it works more than fine. I'm very pleased and highly recommend this.

Mine is the slim and is so loud its rediculous. Runs great but for some reason is louder than my girst generation xbox 360. I think i just got a bad one though.

I don't even play video games, but this thing does a lot more than I expected.

Striped down barebones Xbox 360
Me personally I would get a bundle package 360 with a hard drive or one with atleast a hard drive. My opinion on the 4gb version is that it is a replacement unit for those who already have a xbox that quit working or want to upgrade. The cost of adding a drive later is more expensive than the extra 100 for a unit that comes with it. That is unless you buy an aftermarket hard drive. My 2cents. I already had a xbox 360 (MW3 version) with the kinects when I got this one for free.

I got it for the music, movie and video features
I'm not a gamer and this is my first foray into any kind of game device. I do like the music and video potential of the Xbox. So far I have watched an Xbox live event, a movie via Amazon and linked to my Windows 8 (customer preview) system to stream music and videos. This looks like a winning combo. The controller is easy and intuitive. I have the Xbox connected to my receiver via HDMI and then to my TV. No issues with that. I also found it easy to add the Xbox to my network. At first I was worried that it only supports 100Mbps, but found no problem with HD videos. It does not support .flv format, which I find to be a limitation. As far as music goes, you can't really set up a playlist via the Xbox. I was able to create and save one on the Windows 8 machine and then access it via the Xbox. I think this this should prove to be satisfactory. I also attached a USB drive to play music. Who knows, I may even have to buy a game or two. One thing that is annoying to me is that you can't turn off the sounds generated when you move around the Xbox menu.

Xbox 360 slim 4gb
Small package with big gaming! This was offered as a free gift to students and I managed to get in on this. I am very pleased and I would recommend this gaming console for anyone. My kids have been Xbox fans for a while and we now own two Xbox gaming consoles. This console goes with us when we travel. It's lightweight and easy to hookup quickly.

Lots of fun!
I enjoy the xbox and my 3 year old and 6 year old love to play it! I only wish I could use my own netflix account instead of having to buy Live.

This is a great product
I really like the Xbox 360 live service and its features, the built in wireless worked flawlessly, and it is dead silent when on.

got it free with a computer purchase, very nice for gaming saved $200 because i didnt have to purchase one. Only limitation is the memory, 4gb is not nearly enough for anything, plus after system files there only 2.3gb left. But overall great product, its the newest version, even came with a free month of xbox live gold.

Pretty good except one major drawback
I am not a huge gaming fanatic so I won't say how great the graphics are or how fast it is, but it does have pretty long load times. The major drawback is that the 4GB hard drive is a complete joke. You can hardly fit any games on it and will eventually have to buy more memory whether in a flash drive or hard drive.

Nowadays, everything is downloadable, so no one needs to go to the nearest Gamestop to get a new game for his/her 360, which makes the Xbox Live Marketplace all the more used; but without any memory, where can you fit all these games and such? Yes it has built-in wireless and yes it has that cool sleek look, but memory is too important a feature to be overlooked.

First of all I got this free with my laptop purchase, So free is a plus. memory is only 4gb which isn't much, just hope for more memory, but then again it was free, and if i want more i have to pay more. it works perfectly fine no issues with it, shipped fast, and i'm using it almost everyday.

Our new XBOX
The XBOX equipment works fine. The software and membership requirements have been a challenge. We have high hopes to watch Netflix via the XBOX.

4 gb is too small to be worth it
By JThompson on HP - Oct 4, 2011
Good except for vibration
My first Xbox vibrated so bad it had to be replaced. The second one is also vibrating but not as loud. The performance is very good most of the time. I wonder if the "free" Xbox from HP offer - when you purchase a laptop is actually a refurbished Xbox. This may explain the vibrating issue both consoles have had.

Free XBOX 360 Slim? Why not!!!
It is an XBOX 360 Slim for FREEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! What more can I say?
By BIGLOSMAN on HP - Sep 24, 2011
Free. Why not?
Another student who got this for free with their PC purchase. First XBox console as most of my favorite franchises are PS exclusive but it's still a decent system. Already got a couple of games for it and have not had any issues. But yeah, the 4GB kicks you in the teeth shortly after getting the system. You'll want to get one of their HDD upgrade options as soon as possible.
By Darnell0216 on HP - Sep 20, 2011
I got this free with the PC I ordered and it runs great. The only problem I have with the console is the 4gb memory. If you're gonna play games or download stuff from Xbox Live I suggest getting more memory 'cause 4gb aint enough for me =)
By Hermii on HP - Sep 15, 2011
it was great to get an x box along with a good laptop purchase.
By sonik on HP - Sep 9, 2011
It was a free Xbox, so there is no complaining there. Only thing is that you should buy the 250 GB hard drive for it because the 4GB is not enough

Can't Beat this Deal
Xbox 360 console free with purchase of laptop for my daughter. How can you beat a deal like this. She is ultra happy with laptop and her brother is happy to have Xbox console in the house. smiles everywhere.

The console is pretty good I think mine takes some getting use to it froze a game or maybe I have a cheap game but as a girl I still like it

Great for being an addon to a great product
I wish that instead of the kinect ready xbox, I was sent the xbox with a larger flash drive, it would have been much more preferable, but for being an add-on to a great HP Laptop, I'm very satisfied.

I purchased an xbox with my laptop on Saturday and received my xbox on Wednesday. Best fun in a box I ever received! Still waiting on the the laptop though. That was fast! Thanks.

Nothing to say, really; it's an XBox. It works. It was "free" with PC purchase.
By 68geetee on HP - Aug 24, 2011
Not For Serious Gamers
The console is sleek and attractive, personally I prefer the matte finish. But the harddrive is internal and expensive to upgrade. If you would like to save your games and some games require a harddrive, upgrade to the 250 GB 360
By Champion on HP - Aug 23, 2011
Worth it? You bet!
The machine runs very well overall, but the lack of memory (and, thus, lack of backward compatability with the original Xbox) is a bit of a buzzkill. Outside of this one shortcoming the machine is perfect.
By khakiphil on HP - Aug 23, 2011
Slim, sleek, smaller, quieter, faster! Upgrade from our old white one. Had to buy a large memory, of course, and then the separate data transfer cable, of course. But this is a sweet upgrade, and looks nicer sitting by the other new black gadgets :)

Microsoft Xbox 360 | 4GB
This Microsoft Xbox 360 (often referred to as the slim version), launched on June of 2010 in North America, is an upgraded version of the original 360 with a smaller form factor. It sports an upgraded 45nm chipset, integrated 2.4GHz 802.11n WiFi, five USB ports, and 250GB of removable storage by way of proprietary hard drive (not compatible with original 360 drives). Additionally, this 360...
