Cyborg RAT 9
3.5 Star Review  productwiki.com - Jan 25, 2011

The Cyborg RAT 9 is one of four Cyborg gaming mice released by Mad Catz Interactive in Spring 2010. It’s an exact duplicate of the RAT 7, except that it offers wireless connectivity, and a specialized docking station for recharging the included AA battery. Like its predecessor, the premium gaming mouse offers users the choice to completely customize the device’s ergonomic shape, weight, and functionality. Featured is an adjustable length, a custom weight system for upping or lowering the unit’s weight, a movable thumb rest, and interchangeable palm rests and pinkie grips. Features Cyborg Gaming Mouse AA Battery Powered 2.4GHz Wireless Technology Included Wireless Receiver/Recharge Dock Adjustable Length Custom Weight System 3 Interchangeable Palm Rests 3 Interchangeable Pinkie Grips 1ms Response Time 25-5600dpi Range Up to 50G Acceleration Up to 1000Hz Polling Rate Up to 6m/sec Tracking Speed PTFE Slick Feet 4 Custom DPI Settings 5 Programmable Buttons 3 Cyborg Modes ... PROS: (1) unique industrial design / aesthetic (2) solid build quality (3) precision aim button cuts the DPI for less sensitivity - ideal for FPS fans who use scopes (4) dual hot-swappable lithium-ion battery sockets - use one, and plug in the other once the first starts to die (5) matte satin like finish ... CONS: (1) no cord based charging - out of luck if you forget to charge your second battery and you still want to play (2) battery is somewhat difficult to remove - no eject button to release it (3) unusable for the left-handed (4) fairly heavy by default, especially with batteries - even without use of additional custom weight system (5) high price point for the majority of consumers

Nice mouse, horrible company support
1 Star Review   By Somercy on Provantage (Channel Engine) - Apr 2, 2011

Strengths: The mouse works as advertised. My battery life on default settings is aprox 7 hours. I really like the mouse feel and response.

Weakness: One battery was defective on arrival. Manufacturer took over a month to get me a new one. Read whole story http://vincehamilton.com/AGGRAVATION.aspx

If you own this mouse I strongly urge you to try and get another battery now (while you dont need one), say your dog ate it/child lost it, because trying to use this mouse with just one battery w

awesome mouse
4 Star Review   By tazmann696 on Provantage (Channel Engine) - Feb 20, 2011

Strengths: programmable, adjustable to any hand

Weakness: heavy and wide

This is a great mouse. only took one week of shipping for special order. updates were great. The mouse it self is great. the only two problems you have to get use to is the heaviness and the width. If you take all the weights off it seems unbalanced and front end heavy. I only use one weight to balance it out and it seems like a heavier mouse. Also it is wider then your average mouse. I have small hands so it takes some getting use to. over all this mouse is great. definitly worth the wait and the price.

good price, but left guessing on the shipping time
4 Star Review   By brian r. on Provantage (Channel Engine) - Feb 10, 2011

Strengths: awesome mouse, perfect condition, best price, about thirty bucks cheaper than anywhere else.

Weakness: i had no idea when it was going to ship to me because it was a special order. but luckily it did arrive exactly one month after i ordered it.

the mouse is great, its made with a bunch of steel parts. looks awesome. you get two rechargeable batteries, so you never run out of juice, the charger/reciever has a metal base and a braided cord, very nicely made. also there's a removable weight system as well as multiple interchangeable body peices.

May work great...IF you ever get it.
1 Star Review   By NoVantage on Provantage (Channel Engine) - Jan 20, 2011

Strengths: I have no idea.

Weakness: Same here.

Even if it is special order, after a month and no update I don't think ProVantage has any of these ANYWHERE. I had to cancel my order and they didn't seem to care. Truth is, you will most likely NEVER see this product from them.
