Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
3 Star Review  GameZone - May 3, 2007

Best known for its realistic, action-packed and addictively enjoyable Tom Clancy games, it’s always great to see Ubisoft break from their popular titles to bring us something refreshingly new and different. Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WII made its debut on the Xbox 360 as well as other current generation consoles and has finally come around for the PlayStation 3. While the game was bland on next-generation consoles, there was a chance that Nintendo’s new console would make this the best version of the game. This game might be the first air combat game on the Wii but even the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controls aren’t enough to distract us from a flawed and uninteresting game.

Blazing away on Wii
4 Star Review   By member bunty7 - Jul 27, 2008

Strengths: Flying planes feel great

Weakness: Graphics & Camera

This is one of the most underrated games on Wii. It is a flight sim & people get turned off with this, just because they do not get the hang of controls or maybe they do not try enough. I went in this game with very little expectations & was surprised to find how fun it was. There are nice tutorials to get you acquainted with controls.Once you master them, flying planes is so much fun. Explosions are nice looking & destroying enemy planes & bases feels great but the graphics do not hold much. There is not much replay value but this is one of the rare games where Wii controls actually make it more exciting. Go try it & you might be pleasantly surprised too

Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
2 Star Review   By member xr - Jun 15, 2008

Strengths: OK as a Game; Not a great Flight Simulator

Weakness: Avg graphics capability

I did not understand why the graphic is so bad, which makes me almost unplayable. My recommendation is not to buy, rather go for rent so that you decided before buying. The controls are a little tricky to get use to it.

WII blazing angels
4 Star Review   By member sh_liu_2006 - Jun 9, 2008

Strengths: different control setup between wii remote and nunchuk. many real flight.

Weakness: not so good picture quality

it is a wii game, so don't expect perfect picture quality like ps3, but you could get familiar with the game in ten minutes. there are four different controlling setup changed between remote and nunchuk, from what i see, remote is less useful if you have nunchuk. and also you can use different real WW2 planes, but you need to unlock those. at all, good game at its price if you love simulating flight.

ONE COOL GAME
4 Star Review   By member longdillon1 - May 31, 2008

Strengths: Great graphics, wii controller makes this game fun, Pick up and play

Weakness: Not for the weak at heart. The missions are kinda long.

This game is a great world war 2 flying game. It has awesome graphics and is super fun. The wii mote makes this game very fun and unique. The games story progresses you through flight training to bombing missions and dogfighting missions, in World War 2 europe. This is a must buy for the casual gamer as well as the die hard ww2 fans

Not so Blazing
2 Star Review   By member aramirez - Sep 23, 2007

Strengths: Control are ok at best

Weakness: Graphics and storyline are not so great

Well this games is not so great on the PS3, and in my opinion worse for the WII. The wii remote functunality is not fully utilized and graphics are not great at all. Would not recommend purchasing, instead rent first.
