The darker, edgier Prince of Persia now available for PSP. . .
4 Star Review   By member RebateHope01 - Nov 1, 2007

Strengths: Solid graphics, good blend of action/adventure/puzzles, new levels

Weakness: Another home console port, audio/frame rate issues, excessive load times

If you've played any of the recent home console Prince of Persia games, you'll immediately recognize Revelations as the mostly straight PSP port of Warrior Within that it is. Warrior Within was a decent game in its own right, and its translation here to handheld is pretty solid. Unfortunately, the same complaints that the console version received are still here. The darker, edgier (generic tough guy) prince turned some players off, and the blaring rock soundtrack took the prince even further from him majestic roots in Sands of Time. Although the graphics hold up well on the PSP, the frame rate occasionally stutters, and the background music and voice acting will sometimes cut out for no apparent reason. Load times have also appeared where they didn't exist in the home versions. Still, the strong story line and solid action/adventure game play are enough to recommend Revelations. You shouldn't pay full price for this (as the home versions are just as good at a lower cost), but fans of the console versions may want to try this for the handful of new levels.

Prince of Persia on the PSP
3 Star Review   By member monsoonman - Aug 26, 2007

Strengths: +nice graphics +good challenging puzzles +basically an expansion of Warrior Within +new levels

Weakness: -load times -some slowdown

Prince of Persia comes to the PSP in a semi-new adventure. Players that played Prince of Persia 2 Warrior’s Within will find many similarities. To those new to the series, you play as a Prince who possesses a wide range of spectacular moves. The prince can run up against walls and do amazing acrobatic moves. Players can choose to either fight with single or dual weapons. Players have their sword, but they can also pick up weapons that their enemies dropped or are around. Players can also use the environment to their advantage in combat. For example to attack a foe you may run up a wall first to get elevation. The Prince also possesses the Sand Powers, which will be unlocked as you go through the game. Most known Sand Power is of course is recall that allows you to rewind the game. This will come in handy when players accidentally run into traps. The downsides to the Prince’s adventure on the PSP are the long load times and some slowdown. Otherwise you are looking at a pretty good game. Those interested in the Prince of Persia series I recommend that they check out Prince of Persia: Revelations.

Excellent Game for mature audience
5 Star Review   By member murtazat - Jan 5, 2006

Strengths: Excellent Graphics and story line

I just got Prince of Persia for PSP couple of days back from Sears I was kinda sceptical on getting this game, since I was not really amazed with the one i have on Xbox - Sand of Time. But after playing on PSP my myth was broken. The PSP version has more to fight then jump from one wall to another. It has may weapon at his dispair and so much action to do. I just love the game and doesnt want to put t down.
