Description
Featuring several gameplay upgrades and an all-new story, Manhunt 2 is the tale of a young doctor named Daniel Lam. To keep his well-paying job and satisfy the needs of his wife and two children, Daniel becomes a guinea pig for underground research after the funding is pulled for Project Pickman. Unfortunately for Daniel, the experiments on his body go wrong and he is sent to spend the rest of his life in Dixmore Asylum. Six years later, Daniel still shares his space with the criminally insane and wonders if his previous life existed at all. After an electrical storm knocks the power out at the asylum and the prisoners take control, Daniel leaves the institution to uncover the mysteries of his past and why he can't remember anything about himself. Gamers lead Daniel through several different locations to discover his previous life while sneaking past enemies and using objects in the environment to defeat any aggressors. Players learn how to move and kill while escaping from the asylum. As in the previous release, gamers can follow targets silently and activate more impressive kill animations by waiting for the cursor to turn from white to red. Unfortunately, hiding in the shadows is no longer a sure way to safety, and gamers may find themselves engaging in a quick mini-game in order to avoid detection if enemies catch them moving around in the darkness

Manhunt 2
3.5 Star Review  GameZone - Nov 2, 2007

Sliding behind a grimy wall clutching a filthy plastic bag left discarded in the rubbish-filled streets of your old neighborhood, you wait for the man in the cheap black suit and black bandana over his mouth to pass really close. You hear him cough just inches away and when it’s time to strike you jump out of the shadows and toss the thick bag over his head as he begins to claw frantically as the bag that is suffocating him. You feel him go limp and let his body drop. Spotting another one of your victim’s colleagues, you grab a shard of a broken bottle and you wait behind the cover of an ally waiting to strike again.

Manhunt 2
3 Star Review   By member bob330i - Nov 26, 2008

Strengths: ambiance (use headphones)

Weakness: too easy to kill w/guns, bad AI, weird stealth function

Picked it up on sale after reading some reviews about the previous Manhunt title. Wanted a pick up and go version on the PSP. It’s an ok game overall, lots of sneaking around messy environments, a few guns here and there, lots of enemies. The only thing I really didn’t care for is the hiding in shadows function. You have to hit a certain sequence of facebuttons to stay hidden, it was a bit odd and didn’t seem to fit in with trying to hide. I’m still on the fence about this title, wouldn’t recommend to kids.

Good but not as good as the original Manhunt
4 Star Review   By member mabramowsky - Nov 8, 2007

Strengths: Sound design is top notch (although I recommend headphones)

Weakness: Not as scary or foreboding as the first Manhunt. There is no character that matches Pigsy (One of the more memorable villians of the first game)

First off, I do not recommend this at all for the kiddies. Even though some of the scenes have been censored, its still a sick and violent game. Its rife with bad taste and it will only appeal a certain segment of the population. Still...after playing my neighbors copy for awhile, it convinced me to buy this game for myself.
