Tomb Raider Anniversary
4 Star Review  GameZone - Aug 27, 2007

Porting a console game to the Sony PSP is nothing new but sadly, many of them just don’t feel quite at home on a handheld. This can’t be said about Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary, a retooled version of the game that first introduced gamers to a shapely adventurer that is good at what she does best … looking for ancient artifacts in tombs around the world. Since then, Lara Croft has become a pop culture icon and the star of a number of sequels (a few of them good and a few others that should be forgotten) up until her triumphant comeback called Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend where the series finally got back to the basics.

Well designed PSP game
4 Star Review   By member hellmutt - Sep 30, 2008

Strengths: Gameplay, story, extras, length

Weakness: Occasionally awkward controls

This game plays well on the PSP. Having had experience on the PS2, I was a little concerned how the controls would translate. While occasionally a bit awkward, overall the game plays fine. It's fun, with plenty of extras and a good story to keep things going. I'd recommend this game for any adventure fan.

Tomb Raiding Reborn!
4 Star Review   By member fever - Sep 15, 2008

Strengths: Controls Player animation

Weakness: Camera Level lighting

This is one of the better looking and playing games on the PSP. The controls are easy to learn, and combined with Laura's excellent animation really impressed me. Overall the battles are limited and short, most of the danger is from the environment and various traps. A nice effect is the Grapple hook, that adds some interesting and unique navigation. The game suffers from bland colored and dark environments making it difficult to find the path. But the biggest issue is that Laura has NO SHADOW, making it very hard to navigate obstacles and making jumps very deadly. Overall this is great game and a vast improvement over previous Tomb Raider titles.

Timb Raiders Anniversary
4 Star Review   By member Postalemployed - Mar 23, 2008

Strengths: Game Play, Image Quality, Player Controlls

Weakness: Pickyness to pull off certain Moves

This game is an awsome revitilization of the way Tomb Raider is sopose to be played. It brings back a lot more of the puzzle aspects without so much of that bad guy popping out from no where to get you. The image quality is amazing as that has updated that with seamings state of the art technologies along with the sound. The Controlls are a lot more user friendly, and one I liked most was that when you slip off the edge it automaticly grabs on (a little better then just falling....not that I ever had...A lot of great puzzles in here which some may take time to figure out and they don't walk through any of them(although you can access hints if needed) If you like shoot-em games you probaly want to pick something else and if you are looking for a true tomb raider game this is it!
