Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
4 Star Review  GameZone - Nov 17, 2003

Do you remember the Sega Genesis-exclusive game Aladdin? That was the game that made me buy a Genesis. X-Men rocked, and Sonic was very tempting, but it was Aladdin that pushed me over the edge (I already had an SNES, and back then it wasn't very common to have more than one console). Nowadays I must have every console in existence! But that's beside the point. Aladdin was a fast, action-packed adventure game that never quit. Like all games it had an end, but until that point you were constantly on the run, battling evil soldiers, or flying a magic carpet.

Strengths: good game, game play is actually fun. reminds me of the first version of it

Weakness: 2-d nothing like the gameplay of its older brothers for gc, ps2 and xbox

Prince of Persia looks pretty good for a GBA game. Backgrounds are pretty much the same, as the rooms of each area look almost identical to one another. but they serve their purpose. The sprite animation is simple, and appear a little like cels from a cartoon, and many use a rather high number of animation frames so that they move with exceptional fluidity. The game is a little bland on the audio side, and though the music is appropriately themed for the game's setting, it's nothing special. The sound effects also just get the job done. If you love side scrollers and are looking to flesh out your POP collection i suggest this title
