NBA STREET V3
5 Star Review  GameZone - Mar 15, 2005

Respect. Earning it on the streets isn’t easy but once you have it there’s no feeling quite like it. In fact, you can forget money and you can forget that endorsement deal for Nike because respect is what it's all about and on the cracked concrete of this court you have to give it your all. This is street basketball, a game taken just as serious as the professional game when things are at stake. In NBA Street V3 you play for respect and for the love of the game and trust me when I say you’ll really love this game. Last year’s NBA Street Vol.

NBA Street V3
5 Star Review  IGN.com - Feb 3, 2005

Kevin Garnett must own stock in EA. Sure, he's one of the best players in the NBA, but even The Big Ticket has never dominated a court like he does in NBA Street V3. First you might see KG go off the heezay, footay or even off the bootay, next thing you know he's taking off from beyond the free throw line, rolling the rock along his arms Globetrotter-style, alley ooping the ball to himself -- while already in the air -- then finishing the dunk off with a spin. The letters KG appear autograph style on the screen, and Garnett even gives you a little dance to rub it in.

NBA Street V3
4 Star Review   By member Tyga24 - Jul 29, 2006

Strengths: Graphics, Controls, Online Multiplayer

Weakness: Announcer sounds obnoxious

NBA Street Volume 3 is the arcade street basketball game from EA's "Big" games division. This is the first experience I've had of the NBA Street series after having played other streetball titles such as NBA Jam and NBA Ballers in the past and I think it's most complete game of streetball I have ever played. The graphics are well done and the roster of current players and past legends is impressive. The online mode on Xbox Live is very smooth and easy to get into a quick game. The dunk contest in the game is another surprisingly fun side feature. The main mode can become tiresome after awhile, but its rewarding once you are able to challenge pros and add them to your team as you progress through the game. Overall, I highly recommend this game to anyone with an interest in sports titles or those looking for a game to challenge some friends in.

NBA Street V3
4 Star Review   By member Venent - Jul 14, 2006

Strengths: Great graphics, smooth gameplay, trick stick, incredible and impossible moves, online play

Weakness: Announcer is annoying, game can get repetitive

This is FUN game. The gameplay is smooth, there are tons of unlockables, and if you are a fan of basketball, and want some outside of the simulations, this is the game for you. This game is outrageous and fun. Pick this one up, especially since it can be found at a relatively inexpensive price now.

NBA Street V3
5 Star Review   By member Rob26Smith - Jul 11, 2006

Strengths: Multiplayer, fun basketball action, nice graphics and presentation, many customizable options

Weakness: controls takes a while to get used to, stuff can get repetitive at times

This overall is an amazing game. I mainly bought this game for the multiplayer action and it has not disappointed. In fact, the single mode is just as addictive. If you want realistic game play, this game is not for you, but if you want a fast pace, unrealistic moves, party basketball game pick this up. The controls are a little difficult to master, but once you get a hang of it you can do some sick moves. My biggest annoyance with the game was the repetitiveness of the music and announcers. Sometimes I just wish they would shut up. But the mute button works great in that case or the option menu can help you out with that. In any case, on a buy/rent/discard scale this is a buy. If you are looking to play this game with your buddies, trust me, it will not disappoint.

Good fun game
4 Star Review   By member dtsai24 - Jul 5, 2006

Strengths: Gameplay, Graphics

Weakness: Too repetitive

This is a very fun game for sports fans. It is very similar to the first 2 versions of the NBA Street series. The single player is too long and boring but it is very fun to play against friends in multiplayer.

How does this series keep getting so much better?
5 Star Review   By member dubbfoolio - Jun 23, 2006

Strengths: Trick Stick, controllable Gamebreakers, NBA License, Great details on players and courts.

Weakness: The announcer can wear on you, thumb blisters.

This is essentially a modern day NBA Jam and NBA Jam would be proud! I've been a fan of the Street series since Vol. 1, and EA-BIG. I'm amazed at how much they can improve each already excellent installment. Trick Stick and controllable Gamebreakers add a new level of gameplay to this volume. If you liked the original NBA Jam games from the 90s or any of the previous NBA Street games this volume will not disappoint you!

The newest entry in the Street series
5 Star Review   By member sarma81 - May 31, 2006

Strengths: Trick stick; Xbox Live; solid presentation and graphics; customizable players

Weakness: Music and announcer are annoying

NBA Street V3 is the newest edition of the NBA Street series, and it doesn't fail to impress. EA Big not only kept what was right in the series, but it also improved upon the successful franchise. The addition of the trick stick is the most significant improvement, where moving the analog sticks with the turbo buttons leads to a unique trick move. Running off a combo of these trick moves fills up your gamebreaker meter so that you can perform a spectacular dunk. As is expected, you can play NBA Street V3 online. The amazing graphics and slick presentation make this game very fun to play. Add to that the customizable players and tons of unlockables, and you have yourself a winner. The only negative in this game is the music and the announcer. Both can get on your nerves after a while. Other than that, I highly recommend picking up this game.

NBA Street V3
3 Star Review   By member shipwreck1 - Oct 23, 2005

Strengths: Nice graphics, easy to pull of tricks, online play

Weakness: Slower paced than earlier NBA Streets

NBA Street V3 is the third arcade basketball game in the series. This version offers vastly improved graphics with more detail and an enhanced lighting system. This game also adds the new "trick stick" control scheme that lets you pull off moves simply by using the right analog stick. While this is an easy way to pull off moves, I though it took some of the fun out of the game. This is also the first NBA Street game to be on Xbox Live, so that is a plus if you want to play against someone online. There is only one main mode this time around and it is based upon you creating a character and moving your way up in the street ball ranks. The general pacing of this version seemed a lot slower though and I found myself getting bored halfway through games. They've added a dunk contest this time around and along with all the unlockables that adds a lot of replay value. Overall, I don't think this is the best game in the NBA Street series, but it is still a pretty solid game.

Over-the-top streetball, controls, game play, graphics
5 Star Review   By member galvatron2k1 - Aug 30, 2005

Strengths: Over-the-top streetball, controls, game play, graphics

If you have played any of the previous NBA Street games or even NBA Jam, then you know what is in store for you. The NBA Street series is based off of wacky blacktop crossovers, moves, and dunks to try and outscore (and also humiliate) your opponents. The game features an almost complete roster of NBA stars and also features numerous unlockable courts, players, and extras. The game play and controls are fantastic. The new feature with the controls is all of your moves are now mapped to the right analog stick. With a little practice, a flick of the stick one way or another will have you crossing over opponents, bouncing the ball off of people’s faces, rolling around on the ground, etc. Also, the different dunks have also been mapped to the analog stick as well. The graphics are also phenomenal as NBA superstars are accurately represented with tattoos, hairstyles, and even their shoes. Overall, the game is great arcade fun and I would highly recommend picking up this title.

Strengths: Best arcade basketball game ever - excellent graphics, great controls

Weakness: Xbox has less moves than the Playstation 2 version, due to the controller

NBA Street Vol. 3 for Xbox is the best in the series. Fluid animation, excellent lighting, and the overall good graphics combine to create one of the best looking sports games I've seen. It has a very rich single player mode with multiple options, including a slam dunk contest, and a nice set of unlockables as well as a diverse multiplayer mode. The only downside is the Xbox has less in the ways of tricks and dunks, due to having less buttons than on the playstation 2 version. Overall, I'd still recommend it, even for a non basketball or sports game fan. Excellent game!

Strengths: Lots of ballers, great soundtrack, lots of moves, lots of courts, create your own court, long "create a baller" mode, XBOX LIVE PLAY

Weakness: Controls are a little wierd at first, no custom soundtrack

NBA Street Vol. 3 is one of the best games I have ever played! It is the latest NBA Street game in the series and it is by far the best one yet. This time you can use the right analog stick (which they called the Trick Stick) to bust out your street moves. There are a lot of combinations you can make to do a trick, starting with no turbo to using all 3 turbos and flicking the Trick Stick in any direction. There are a lot of NBA ballers in this game with the latest roster of the season. This game has a great soundtrack, but there aren't enough songs. A custom soundtrack feature would've been great. There are a lot of courts in this game, plus you can even create your own court! This is the first NBA Street game to have Xbox Live play. You can create your own baller and take on other players across the world, or you can pick an NBA team and play another player's NBA team. This game has a lot of replay value. Overall, I think this is a great game and highly recommend it!
