Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII
3.5 Star Review  GameZone - Jan 11, 2007

Yeah, I know, ever since hearing about how cool the six-axis controller was going to be, the first thing I thought of was flight games. Moving the controller to match the flight pattern of an aircraft. But since this is a game that is a rehash of a title that came out almost a year ago for the PC and the 360, the folks at Ubisoft sort of dropped the ball on the whole re-imagining thing for the PS3. But to each their own and with that, I will take a drink from my soda and continue typing this review. So you may or may not know the plot - you play an American pilot who has recently been asked to work with the British forces (to start off).

Pretty fun
3 Star Review   By member cantbeyou - Jul 28, 2007

Strengths: -Six axis control makes it fun for "non gamers" to fly around -lots of missions and takes little while to complete -you get a history lesson while playing a video game

Weakness: -learning curve for nongamers is pretty steep -some missions were difficult and took many times to complete (i'll be honest and admit i am not the biggest gamer, but i am not a newcomer at all)

i would probably recommend for you to rent this game instead of buy it. After you beat it, its kinda boring. Plus, they are coming out with a newer one that should be better pretty soon (fall of 07). The graphics are good, but could definitely be better to fully utilize the PS3, but that is common for early-released games. Overall, i would give this a 6.5 out of 10. Before I finished it, i would have given it a 7.5, but i have not touched it, nor do i have a desire to play it again since I beat it.

Blazing Angels Ps3
4 Star Review   By member toocool17 - Apr 14, 2007

Strengths: Game play, graphics

Blazing Angels is a pretty good game for the ps3. The graphics are pretty good, and the game play is great. Some of the levels are a bit difficult and will take a couple times to beat it. There are tons of levels to choose from in multiplayer, like Pearl Harbor. I would recommend this game to anyone who likes flying or war games. You can also use the sinaxis ps3 controller to fly, so you don't have to press any buttons.

Take flight in a new kind of way.
3 Star Review   By member Hoosiers3DJW - Apr 5, 2007

Strengths: Good graphics, many planes to choose from, unique missions.

Weakness: They only give you like 2 minutes to take down 20 planes in Midway.

This game is pretty cool. It is awesome because if you need help, you'll get it from you squad. You kind of get dizzy once in a while, but it is worth it.
