James Bond 007: NightFire
4 Star Review  GameZone - Dec 5, 2002

Okay, I have to admit this right here and right now--it has always been a girlhood fantasy of mine to be a Bond Girl. There is something about a suave, sophisticated British secret agent--that likes his vodka martinis shaken and not stirred--that is so appealing to a girl that she wouldn’t mind helping him stop some mad mastermind bent on ruling the world. Of course it helps if you have a weird name like Honey Dew. Either way, it’s fun to see James Bond back in action in 007: Nightfire. Nightfire’s original story pits James Bond against Raphael Drake, head of the Phoenix International Corporation and the man placed in charge of dismantling warheads throughout the world.

James Bond 007 NightFire
3.5 Star Review  GameSpy - Dec 4, 2002

James Bond never ages. He might have undergone a few facelift procedures over the last few decades, but 007 is still the man to call when evil power-crazed dictators are afoot. EA's new Bond game -- NightFire -- isn't based on the new hit movie flick -- Die Another Day -- but instead is an all-new spy escapade crafted by UK developer Eurocom. Its got the babes, the toys and the suave sophistication of any good Bond flick, but it falls down a little on the overall length of the game -- it's simply too short.

James Bond 007 NightFire
4 Star Review  IGN.com - Nov 18, 2002

It's pretty amazing when you think about it. Developer Rare's GoldenEye came out for Nintendo 64 in 1997 and in the five years since, on more powerful next-generation consoles, competing software houses have still been unable to make a significantly better Bond first-person shooter. Look at publisher Electronic Arts' track record, though, and you'll know that it's not for lack of trying. The company has released several 007 follow-ups, a few of them noteworthy, but none of them good enough to officially dethrone Nintendo's gargantuan success of old.

Strengths: It's a James Bong Game! Shoot em up style! The way they have captured James, and his weapons!

Weakness: The game is pretty easy, i only rented for a night, and by teh next day, i had nearly finishedd it.

I rented this game. I would not recommend buying it. Cuz afta a week, u will be sick of it!! The multiplayer isnt that good when it's compared to the N64 version. The single player is alright, as the designers have captured the James Bond weapons and his gadgets!! Also they have included the James Bond car with misiles and other cool weapons! But once again i strongly say, only hire this game, its not worth buying!

3 Star Review   By member gmrsubscriber - Jan 13, 2003

Strengths: it is fun to play with a friend just to have fun but i would not recomend it to buy for a top game.

Weakness: the main weakness is how easy it is to beat and also you can still see the animated bullets and the game is very highly priced. that is that james bond games are never very fun

i liked the game but it could be more fun. i think you should be able to play on-line with other people so that you can really test your skill. i think that game has not been better that agent under fire the game that came out before this one. i would only rent the game for a party or something like that.
