24 is a better tv show
Strengths: Very much like the show
Weakness: Would rather watch the show
It's not as fun being Jack Bauer as you think. TV shows tend to be better as TV shows when you need to do the same things, so It's ok if you're a really die hard fan, but not so much if you're not.

Only for fans of the show
Strengths: Voiced by the cast of the television show. The storyline explains the gap between seasons two and three of the show.
Weakness: Gameplay is lackluster and the camera can be awkward at times.
Set in between seasons two and three of the 24 television series, this game involves the player taking on the role of Jack Bauer and other CTU agents in their attempts to stop a terrorist plot. The storyline blends right into the events on the TV show and the characters are voiced well by the actors who portray them on the show. Gameplay usually consists of third person stealth/action but there are also other minigames such as driving and bomb defusal. These are all very lacking especially the awkward camera angle which makes this a mediocre game only for fans of the show.

good for fans, others well...
Strengths: great voice acting, 24 style presentation & story, very detailed character models
Weakness: awful driving sequences, brain dead AI, mostly worthless unlockables
Let's get this out of the way up front - if you don't like or follow the show 24 then there is no reason for you to play this game. As an action game it is mediocre at best and the frequent offshoots into stealth/driving/timing games aren't very good. Enemies tend to hide behind wire fences that you can easily pick them off through, or crouch behind barrels leaving their heads out for easy headshots.
For fans though, most of the key characters are back and provide their own voicework. The models look amazing for ps2 and during the cutscenes it looks and feels like an episode of 24. The story does fill in some of the gaps between seasons 2-3, but by the current seasons none of this really matters anymore because most of those characters are dead or no longer on the show.
One place where this game really missed an opportunity was with the bonus features. If you do well enough on a level you can unlock a new feature, but don't get excited. Most of these are just viewable character models including standouts such as "Warehouse Guard" and "Female Citizen". There are a few interview videos with the stars, and these are good, but more stuff like this would have helped offset the poor gameplay.

24: The Game (PS2)
Strengths: Great voice acting, good storyline
Weakness: Mish-mash of different game types, terrible driving missions, bad camera work
24: The Game is a 3rd person action/shooter/stealth game set in the 24 show universe, taking place between Seasons 2 & 3. The real voice actors for the show voice the characters in the show, which adds to the feel of the game. The storyline is also well written. However, there's too many different game types mixed in across the game, which gives the game a disjointed feel. Bad camera angles add to some frustration, and the driving levels are horrible. 24 fans should give it at least a look, though it's a passable mix at best.

Strengths: good voice acting
Weakness: bad camera
24 is the shooter action game for the PS/2. If you're a big fan of the show, you'll love this game especially in the way it is presented with the show's signature multiple camera cut scenes. The game story takes place between the second and third seasons of the show. It is the same old story of CTU agent Jack Bauer trying to recover some ricin from some evil terrorist organization. this is an example of a game that tries to do too many things all at once but unfortunately doesn't do any of it well. Most of the game is composed of third person shooting, but there also some stealth missions with Jack's daughter Kim, some sniper missions, and some driving missions also. The run and gun is not too Bad and can be fun at times, and have a decent selection of guns to choose from. The enemies are not too bright and will generally stand in one place while you shoot at them. What kills you in these levels are not the enemy but the spastic camera that goes crazy when you get too close to too many enemies and make it nearly impossible to lock on and shoot them. The driving missions are simply horrible because your car controls like a drunken cow. this is further exacerbated by increasingly suicidal enemy driver's and cop cars who try to mercilessly ram you off the road. There are also a bunch of inane mini-games that the designers added for some variety, thus making the game worse. Overall this game is mediocre, but if you're a fan of the TV show, I recommend giving it a try or at least a rental.

24: The game
Weakness: in game camera work
24: The Game takes place between 24 seasons two and three. The storyline is top notch it features many of the shows main characters. The game is a bit on the short side. The driving missions in the game are horrible. There are alot of mini-games but all are not that great. If you are fan of the 24 series you might can overlook some of the problems with the game.

24: The Game
I'm not afraid to admit it. I'm not ashamed to admit it. In fact, I think it's my right as a game reviewer and a gamer to let you know that 24: The Game doesn't live up to the television show. I usually try not to start reviews with my final thoughts of the game but I just can't help it with this game. I've enjoyed every season of 24 since the series started on FOX...
