Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004
4.5 Star Review  GameSpy - Sep 24, 2003

There aren't many games that can successfully pack in everything present in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 ... let alone do it well. It's a game friendly enough for non-gamers to pick up, and yet it has enough depth, replayability, and new features to satisfy even the most rabid fans and keep them hooked for weeks on end. Some control frustrations and other GameCube-specific issues make this a somewhat weaker choice than the Xbox and PS2 versions, but that doesn't change the fact that Tiger Woods 2004 is one of most impressive games we've played this year.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004
4.5 Star Review  IGN.com - Sep 22, 2003

The Tiger Woods PGA franchise has been growing slowly, but surely over the last several years. It began ambitiously with true 3D courses and it soon added the analog swing method, which revolutionized it and breathed life into it. With each year's new iteration since, we've seen new courses and new players but the advances have always been small steps forward -- not leaps. This is the same with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 for the most part. It has the additional courses, the new PGA pros, and even some new modes.

TIger Woods PGA Tour 2004
4 Star Review   By member mackaikai - Feb 11, 2006

Strengths: good graphic, good control

Weakness: it's a 2004 version, very hard to find

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is a good game for Gamecube. If you can still find one in the market, it's well worth the money. The control is great and the graphic is EXCELLENT for a 2004 game!! This game is easy for a new gamer to pick up and it gets harder as you play more which is perfect for people who wants more challenge to the gameplay. overall, recommended!

Another year, another licensed EA golf title. . .
4 Star Review   By member MaxBiaggi2 - Jan 31, 2006

Strengths: PGA and player licenses, solid graphics, lots of customization features, multiplayer support

Weakness: Too easy once you get into it, dated pop tunes, 2 discs, no online support, limited humor

EA's Tiger Woods 2004 PGA Tour tries to strike a balance between arcade and simulation games, but the results are mostly positive this time out. If you're looking at golf games for Gamecube, you don't have as many choices as on PS2 and Xbox. You can't have the humor of the latest Outlaw or Hot Shots game, but EA does a reasonable job of a straight forward golf title with 2004's PGA Tour. Unfortunately, you don't get anything new or innovative in the process, and the 2004 model actually spans two Gamecube discs, meaning you'll be switching between the two periodically. EA's 2004 PGA Tour is a decent enough golf game. Unfortunately, you don't have many golf options the Nintendo's system. If you like humor, go with Mario Golf vs. EA's more simulation-oriented PGA Tour.

Great game with tons of new features
4 Star Review   By member evophile - Dec 26, 2005

Strengths: Tons of new features, including the highly customizable "game face" feature

Weakness: Soundtrack can be annoying, not much graphical improvements

Tiger Woods 2004 is a great evolution for EAs Tiger Woods series. Slowly it has started to become a true series of its own and it really amps up here. One of the coolest things in TG04 is the new game face feature. Basically it is a create a golfer mode, but you can really customize the apperance. You can facial morph, add facial hair and everything. You can even try to literaly put yourself in the game. It makes it really immersive. Along with that you also get 19 courses to play on, which is a ton and over 30 golfers to use not counting ones you created. You get game modes such as the PGA Tour, skins, strokes and simple matches. The graphics remain relaticvely the same which is a little disappointing, but all the efforts went to other areas this year. Also I found the soundtrack to be to current pop centric and it will not age well, and everyone may not be fans of all genres present. Especially in a golf game, some tracks seem out of place. All in all though Tiger Woods 04 is a solid golf game and a great evolution in the series. The game face mode adds a lot this year.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 GameCube
4 Star Review   By member mick16 - Oct 9, 2005

Strengths: Gameplay, Options, Choice Courses

Weakness: Sometimes the game limits your club selections

EA Sports Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 GameCube is an addictively fun golf simulation. The game allows you to customize the looks of your golfer and has a whopping 19 golf courses to choose from. The game also has a ton of upgrade options in equipment and clothing which makes you want to continue playing. Obviously there's no online play since its on the Gamecube, but the game is also fun to play with up to 4 players on the system. This is a really fun golf simulation which is highly recommended.
