4.5 Star Review  GameZone - Sep 12, 2005

Ya know, I read the other day that the DS has sold over six million units worldwide while the PSP has only sold two million. Yes, I know they haven't launched the PSP in Europe yet. But there's no way that our friends across the Atlantic are going to buy four million PSPs. Keep your emails at home people, I like the PSP too, but my point is, even though the DS is outselling it's Sony rival, there still seems to be that "one" game that neither system has released - you know, the one everyone has to have. The one that sells systems because it's so good. Well sorry Sony fans, your game has not been released for the PSP yet, but for the owners of the Nintendo DS, your time has arrived.

Nintendogs for DS Review
4 Star Review  mobiletechreview.com - Jan 20, 2006

You can do all the things that you would do in real life with a dog. You can teach it to come when you call it using the microphone, teach it tricks, pat it, and play with it, the whole nine yards. When you walk the dog, you are brought to a map where you can use the touch screen to plot your route, and you can then pick up presents, meet other dogs, or go to a discount shop for necessities, or even head to the park to play Frisbee and engage other dogs. There is also an agility arena that you can use to train your dog for agility trials. Walks are the primary source of items for your pet, such as toys, records, or accessories, including cool toys with Nintendo themes, such as Mario/Bowser/Peach karts, though some items are unique to certain games. Getting cool collars, bows, hats and wigs for your dog is half of the game.

I have a question
3 Star Review   By member emmah56 - Nov 17, 2009

Strengths: idk

Weakness: idk

I heard that you can scare the dog, but i was just wondering: is that the only bad thing you can do? can you abuse the dog, or even discipline it? will the dog get mad at you and attack? I need to know. i know you can hit it if it jumps on you, but i don't know anything else.

Lab & Friends
5 Star Review

Strengths: When you play this, you think its a real dog.Its really entertainment.

I love playing this. Its like you are playing with a real dog. You can do a lot of things whit it. You can take the dogs to a lot of places (park, gym, contests, etc.)You can earn money in the contests, and with the money you can buy a lot of things for your dog (toys, food, accesories, etc.)You can do ANYTHING YOU WANT!

fun but not as entertaining as i'd like it to be.
2 Star Review

Strengths: graphic are great, and it cool that the dog learns her own name when you say.

Weakness: after about 15 min of playing it gets a little borring because you can only enter contest 3 times a day and the dog get tired of training after a wile... so then you'll have to wait till tomorrow.

I like a game that i can spend hours playing cos im glued to it, but this game is an easy one to put down. But at the end of the day it is a fun game and i got it as a gift but i wouldn't waste my pocket money on it kids!

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!
5 Star Review

Strengths: Superb Graphics, Realistic Sounds, It never ends

Weakness: Nothing, it is too fun!!!

You start off by selecting 'buy' and choose your breed and one of the three pups of that breed they have. Then, you have to touch the whistle icon, for it to come to you. After it gets used to you, (it takes about 2 minutes) you have to say its name in the mic. and it takes about 20 tries. (It got REALLY annoying) Finnally it learns it and you HAVE to teach it sit. So you stroke the stylus down its head and it sits. After that, you are free at what you want to do. Personally, I like going on walks and trying contests. The more walks you take, the more farther your pup can walk the next time. (You have to wait 30 ACTUAL minutes) On contests, you have three choices: Agility Trial, Obedience Trial, and Disc Competition. You also shop for food, toys, and new rooms. This game is so fun!!! It is so worth $40.

Pretty good game
4 Star Review

Strengths: It starts off really great and after about 5-13 months of playing it is still ok. Also, the intruduction of new toys, food, and interiors is pretty sweet, till you've dicovered all of them.

Weakness: nothing much but i think after a few months of continual play it gets somewhat old, and the things you find on walks are old.

Very good game. It is a boy game and a girl game. It has kept me interesting for about 8 months but then it gets slightly repetitve. All in all, its pretty awesome. Igive it a thumbs up. 4.35 out of 5.

Awesome Game!
5 Star Review

Strengths: Life like dogs and teaches responsibility.

Weakness: You can only own 8 dogs at a time!

I recently was given this game from a friend for my birthday. I fell in love with the puppies adorable faces. I feel like they really are my pets. I have three dogs, a Golden Retriever, Shih Tzu, and a Dachshund. Their names are Austen, Minnie, and Penney. I love them! I hope you enjoy this game as much as I have. It's spectacular!!!!

Best game ever
5 Star Review   By member chimp89 - Oct 22, 2005

Strengths: Does everything a real dog does but with the improvement of an off button for when you want your dog to shut up.

Weakness: It's too good!

This game is awesome. Show it to anyone and their hearts will melt. It does everything a real dog can. You can: feed them, wash them, walk them, compete them, dress them, play with them, sing to them, scare them, train them, give them a new apartment to play in, take them to the park and loads more!

3 Star Review   By member Geazer - Oct 17, 2005

Strengths: Amazing graphics & realistic sounds.

Weakness: Not as "intuitive" to play as you'd like. Can frustrate a child.

To quote my child: "I want to like this game, but it is hard to play". There is more of a learning curve than what I would like for a children's game.
