Castlevania HOD

Strengths: gameplay

Weakness: none

Wow, now this is a great game. Castlevania is one of the best series out there, and the 2D metroid-like games are the best. Harmony of Dissonance is no different. This game is excellent on all levels, from enemy design to music. There is no reason to pass up this game or any GBA/DS castlevania.

Great portable Castlevania game

Strengths: Better than Circle of the Moon

Weakness: Not quite as good as Aria of Sorrow

Every Castlevania game seems to improve upon the last. As the second GBA Castlevania game (after Circle of the Moon), it was a winner at the time, and one of the better games out. When Aria of Sorrow was released a couple years ago, the same situation presented itself. If you find yourself only able to buy one Castlevania game, make it Aria of Sorrow. If you can splurge for two, pick this one up...

Strengths: Somewhat interesting environments and enemies, interesting subweapon abilities.

Weakness: Lack of Challenge

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance is IGA's second "Castleroid" type game, as it has your character (Juste Belmont) wandering through Dracula's castle. It has some interesting bosses, such as the Legion and its corpse, and the final boss. Some of the regular enemies, such as the Scarecrow, the Skeleton Spider, and the various armored enemies are more than just whip fodder, as they make you think...

Harmony of Dissonance is a hilarious subtitle

Strengths: Castlevania, Metroid style gameplay

Weakness: Worst of the three Game Boy Advance Castlevanias

I say it's the worst of the three, but that's a comparative thing, because the game is by no means bad. I think what got to me was the fighting style, it wasn't as good as Circle of the Moon or Aria of Sorrow. The game has an awesome Metroid style exploration system, like most modern 2D Castlevanias, and is some of the best 2D gaming one will experience in these times

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance...

Strengths: Good Graphics, Lots of bosses, RPG elements added to an action game

Weakness: May seem alittle too easy compared to CotM to some gamers, figuring out where to go when you have filled in all the map you has access to and are stuck (or most of the map)

Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance is the second Castlevania game to be released on the GBA and it's very much like Circle of The Moon as it also has adventure elements and RPG elements (such as equipping stuff and leveling up) in it that became popular when Castlevania Symphony of The Night came out on the Playstation. You will start out exploring the castle and as you find and fight bosses you...
