Description
Taito's deceptively simple puzzle game series comes to the Game Boy Advance for the first time with this release. Introduced in the 1993 arcade game, Bust-A-Move features a fixed screen with several differently colored balls at the top and a ball-launching shooter at the bottom. One at a time, the player is given different colored ball to shoot up into the puzzle mix. The object is to aim the spheres toward the top of the screen to form patterns in the mix above, causing three or more touching balls of the same color to disappear. As more balls are launched from the bottom of the screen, the puzzle mix above gradually drops, forcing the player to continually clear out the lower layers of spheres to avoid being squished. This portable version of Super Bust-A-Move features Normal, Classic, and two-player Battle modes.

Super Bust-A-Move
4 Star Review  GameZone - Dec 14, 2001

Super Bust-A-Move is one of the most unique puzzle games available. Whereas most puzzle games use the falling blocks style invented by Tetris, Super Bust-A-Move reverses the situation by shooting the blocks (or rather, bubbles) at the puzzle formations at the top of the screen. Like Tetris, it sounds simple in theory, but is a frustrating pleasure in execution. There are several different colored bubbles -- red, green, blue, purple, orange, etc. -- three of which must be connected to make them disappear. The object of the game is to eliminate all of the bubbles in the level before they fall below the deadline near the bottom of the screen.
