Love Step 2 Products!!
Strengths: Fun! Colorful! Keeps my 4-year-old and 2-year-old happy!
Weakness: none in my opinion
If you are in the market for a fun toy that kids will play with over and over than this may be one you should buy. I initially worried about them falling off, but that didn't happen. The car stays on the track. When the kids' friends came over they immediately headed to the 'roller coaster'. I would recommend most Step 2 products....durable...built to last

Our 1 1/2 year old grandson has...
Strengths: great play value
Weakness: none that I've found
Our 1 1/2 year old grandson has been fascinated with this toy..he is able to climb into the car and then go down the rollercoaster track and use the track as a personal slide as well as a track for his toy trucks. This toy appears to be a very safe and well constructed toy with varied uses.

Sturdy Great Fun
Strengths: Quality, sturdy construction/ Ease of putting together and taking apart/ Stable thrills!
Weakness: Needs place and a space
My 2 year old grandson - and his parents, but don't tell - love playing with this toy. They have a long hall with hardwood floors where it stores pushed up against the wall til called into duty. The steps remove easily so it goes flat. Games on this so far include riding the cool car, sliding and pulling on belly or crawling, and lining up cars and letting them go. This really is a terrific energy-using toy with just the right amount of thrills, yet very stable. I am so pleased with it, and it will be around and used for YEARS which is more than I can say for most of his toys. It would be great in a carport or driveway - or a perfect indoor hallway. A really good purchase.

not thrilling enough for 3 year olds
Strengths: durable
Weakness: not fast enough for older kids
I purchased it for my twins' 3rd birthday. They loved it...for about 2 days and then stopped playing with it. It wasn't fast and thrilling enough for them. They ended up running up and down the tracks, so I sold it less than a month after I baught it. It takes up a lot of space indoors.

Years of fun.
Strengths: very durable Loads of fun
Weakness: catchs water between sections..holds water in the low part after rain.
Easily the best toy we have had. My now nine year old recieved it for his first birthday..It is on its 8th summer in our backyard. My third child (age 2) now enjoys it(and occassionally his seven year old sister and nine year old brother still take it for a cruise). We have never had to fix anything on it. And my three kids have literally riden it thousands of times. It is tough tough tough. It looks like it will make it to the grandkids someday. All of our visitors enjoy it. Its a unique toy not everyone has. We look forward to years of continued use.
Rain Water does puddle in the low part of the track and in between the pieces. I scrub it down with a mild cleanser before putting it away in the winter and that seems to take care of most of the major staining done by the puddling water.

Great fun
Strengths: Durable and bright colors and hours of fun
Weakness: for the younger kids you need someone to push it
I bought this item because my daughter's cousin had it in there house. Everytime we go over there that is the first thing they play with all day. This item is great for hours of fun and all of our invited guests love it too!

I bought this roller coaster after...
Strengths: durable, multi-purpose, fun
Weakness: requires someone to push the child in order for them to go fast enough to really enjoy it.
I bought this roller coaster after watching my kids (2 & 4 yrs old) play with it continuously for about an hour at an indoor mall playground. Once we got it home, it was the hit of the neighborhood. Everyone came up with different ways to ride it, from crashing into a pile of mulch, to riding it blind-folded, to seeing who could go the farthest. I even went down a few times (I'm 6' and 180lbs).
However, once the novelty wore off, the kids seemed most interested in using it when other kids were around. They don't seem to want to spend much time on it by themselves. That's at least in part because the ride is much more fun when I'm there to give them a good push down.
All in all though, it's a very sturdy toy and when used properly seems pretty safe as well. Little kids might have some problems when getting on it since the platform isn't all that wide -- no one has tipped and fallen off yet, but I imagine that will happen and they'll get a few scrapes.

Big Hit for Preschoolers
Strengths: Kids love it Sturdy, holds up well
Weakness: Requires a long, straight space (15-30 feet)
The community center near us has one of these, and it is a huge hit with preschoolers. We liked it so much we're buying our own. While a single child might play with this only 15-20 minutes a day, it's a toy they will come back to and not forget about. It's a great toy for playdates with multiple kids. Kids also enjoy rolling balls and cars down the ramp, if they don't feel like riding.

Up and Down Roller Coaster
Strengths: Durable, sturdy, good for many playtime adventures.
Weakness: Can't see any. Might be nice if we could buy extensions to make the track longer.
I originally saw this toy at a yard sale this summer. It was already sold, but the owner told me his teenager and her friends were still playing on it. It was still in very good condition.
I wanted a toy that my first grandchild would get a lot of use out of. So far we haven't been disappointed.

Step 2 Up and Down Roller Coaster
Strengths: My child or her friends have NEVER gotten hurt on it in the 6 years we have had this product. The roller coaster is durable and tons of fun!
Weakness: It does hold water (from rain) in the tracks that the tires rest in at the loading area. We have always just washed it periodically with bleach and a water hose.
Awesome product! You def. get your money's worth and then some. My daughter got this at her first birthday (in the tan), it's unique, and every child wants to ride it!
