Addictive Game That is Fun for the Whole Family

Strengths: Loads of fun Simple to learn Will have wide appeal to both men/women/boys/girls

Weakness: None I can think of.

This game is a lot of fun but though I have friends that claim they have finished games in 30 minutes, it takes us closer to 2 hours! Though it seems a little difficult at first, it is actually quite easy to learn. Like the game of Risk, much of the outcome is based on the luck of the roll of the dice. But unlike risk there are no battles or anything like that. But there is a lot of subtle...

From a casual boardgamer's perspective

Strengths: Game always changes as the board pieces are shuffleable and moveable

Weakness: Hard to explain and understand at first, people get super competitive

This game was all the rage amongst several groups of my friends. One group managed to stay good sports while playing it, but it brought out the bad side of people from the other three groups we played with. Basically, part of this game involves persuading other people to help you or hurt others, so you can understand why people would get whinny and catty.

Best. Boardgame. Ever!

Strengths: Endless strategy. Solid construction. Great fun.

This game offers some of the most dynamic strategy I've ever seen in a game and the requisite "diplomacy" inherent in each round is enough to make politicians blanch. I've never had more fun being nice to my brother while stabbing him in the back 2 rounds down the road. My only real...

On each turn dice are rolled to determine the current production on the island. Players collect raw materials to build up their civilizations to gain enough victory points to win the game. game time:...
