- (November 24, 2006) I have been throwing and coaching for about 25 years and I have probably thrown every discus available in the USA. When it comes to value this green Gill 1K has to be one of the best I have seen. When I compare this $50 green Gill discus to one of my $200+ implements I can not actually see that much difference. Oh well, I just ordered two more of them about an hour ago. Have a great day John Selleh
- (04/22/2013) This product was exactly what we needed to use for practice. It arrived quickly which was a big help to get us started sooner.
- (03/24/2013) needed something similar to what the school uses to practice and compete with for practice. Ended up with even better quality!
- (11/16/2012) This was a good buy for somebody like me-- a novice who wanted a discus that was a good compromise between quality and price. There are several models from the same manufacturer less expensive than this one and several more expensive. This one possessed most all the attributes I required without costing a fortune. It appeared to be put together well and, after receiving it, I can confirm that it is. I'm just in this for fun, definitely not competition. I'm going to be throwing it around my back yard and at the park. The only thing I don't like about it is the plastic surface on the top and bottom. I just don't don't care for plastic in general, I find it cheap, but I wasn't willing to pay triple or quadruple what I paid for this one to get one made of higher-quality materials. If you're a novice I recommend this one.
