Coleman Red Canyon Tent
Strengths: Roomy, easy set up,well ventilated, nice looking
Weakness: seams tend to leak, had to apply several coats of sealer to get leaks stopped
I recieved tent as gift from daughter. Have used it 4 seasons so far and for the money don't think you could do better. Has stood up to frequent use by myself and family.
I've seen much more expensive tents that don't perform any better.

Red Canyon Tent
Strengths: Stands up to wind and will keep you dry in rain,it also is very well ventilated so it isn't extremely hot inside during the day.
Weakness: A little difficult to set up alone, but can be done, just takes a little bit longer.
I like this tent because it has ample room and is well ventilated and wind and water proof.I would recommend this tent to anyone, whether it is 2 people or 8 people camping in it. I have had diffrent tents, and this is the best one yet that doesn't cost 400-500 dollars or more.

Strengths: a good dry tent, can take wind and raim .easy to set up with 2 people.
Weakness: would prefer better tent stakes for the corners
for the price i dont think you can beat it. the venilation is real good and the tent is light in weight so you can carry it in its bag if you need to. its nice looking too.

Best option for the money
Strengths: very strong in wind, easy setup, doesn't leak, very well ventelated
If you are looking for a large tent for very little money u can stop your search here I bought this tent to replace my 10 year old 7x7 coleman (which is still in geat condition) and get more room, I'v had this tent in long heavy rain and 20-30 mph winds and it never leaked (I did seal the seams with silicone spray first I don't think it was needed) the walls only moved 3-6 inches(the tent was staked down) you will feel very secure in this tent i know I did.
I'm using this tent all summer long as a bedroom just for fun, it has room for me my dog a large tv and cd player and 5 other people i think i could fit even more in the way it is now but I can't say because I'v only slept 5 before and my springer spanial with there gear.
I set this tent up with one other person in 10-15 mph winds making it a little more difficult but it was still very simple plus it was are first time putting up the tent.
This tent is also extremely well ventelated for summer conditions, I would rate this tent 10 stars in a 5 star rating but it won't let me so... dont lose out and waste your time and money on any other tent, if you are looking at any other reviews that rate this tent down there just brainless losers that wouldn't know a good tent if it slapped them in the face.

Strengths: easy to set up, cheap, good- looking tent, BIG
Weakness: the zipper broke, does not hold heat (it is a 3- season tent), and the wind eventually got the best of it.
OK, so i should start off by saying that i used this tent to camp out for sporting events at Oklahoma State University, and it survived for about 110-120 days of use. It was very nice when we were camping for football tickets and the lows were usually in the 50s-60s, but for basketball season, we quickly discovered that it was nearly impossible to seal off the tent so that it would hold heat AT ALL- it was usually about 0-5 degrees warmer inside the tent. Eventually, the wind destroyed the tent- we had a night where we had 40-50mi/hr gusts all night, and in the morning, all the poles were broken, and the tent was ripped. i am now looking to replace the tent, and am looking into getting a 4-season tent.

Coleman 8 person tent
Strengths: Comfortable, roomy, works well.
Weakness: during rainstorm leaked where seams come together near floor of tent. One leak in rainfly.
Tent was bought new from walmart and was used daily on a 10 day Utah camping trip. It rained almost daily, leaks were not observed until later in the trip where on both side water leaked through where the seams come together, and one leak in the rainfly right above my sleeping bag. Moving the rainfly slightly to one side fixed the leak above me but the other seam leaks continued. There were about 5-8 total leaks, all but one in the lower seam conjunctions.
Returned tent to walmart and recieved another. The replacement tent is the exact same as the origional and has yet to be tested.
Unsure about reccommending tent to others. Will express pros and cons with my own usage of the 8 person coleman.

Great family tent!
Strengths: Roomy, very strong, affordable
Weakness: 2 person set up
We've had this tent for 4 years. It has held up through down pour rain, high winds and a hail storm! With proper level placement, and a separate ground tarp, you will stay safe and dry in this tent. There is adequate ventilation to dry out after a good rain, or take the rain fly off, lay back and enjoy the breeze while watching the stars through the roof screens. There is enough room for 3 queen size blow up mattresses. They say one person can set this up, but 2 people is less stressful. Sets up quick, and my kids can do it.After 4 years we only have a 1/4" tare in a seam, but the rainfly covers it. Never had any leaks, but have had a damp floor do to poor tent placement. You will enjoy this rent as we have. Get outside, and start making memories with your family.
