Difficult to install but very effective when done.
This mount was very difficult to install on my 2005 Honda Rancher. I tried to use the recommended mounts as instructed but could not make them work that way. I had to use one of the alternative mounting brackets and adjust them slightly to get it to fit properly. However, once installed it is a very sturdy mount and I would give it an excellent rating after installation.

The Universal mount is essential to mounting any Swisher products to you ATV. The Mount does attach to an 800 X2 which is big with the wheel base of the Smart Car (LOL) so you most will not need the extension bar. Now the mounting took a while to align and the under carriage leaf spring should have an additional bracket (comes with one ) to hold it into place. I have heard some folk welding the leaf one it is in place but I haven't done that yet and have used the mount with moving lots of sand and mulch with out any problems (see Bucket reviewed post). I had to drill out the back tow hitch in order to get it mounted on my Polaris 800X2 which makes it difficult to put a tow hitch on it but welding or modifying the hitch will be need in the near future. Been very happy and leave this universal mount all the time for yard work. Don't leave it on while for wheeling. This works well the attachments as they have cotter pins to hold the attachments in place.

The universal mounting kit is very well built and much heavier than I expected. Most ATV owners will have to modify your CV boot protectors in order to get the brackets to fit on the lower a-arms and be able to put the protectors back on. It is definitley a 2 person job to mount the kit. Overall i think that its going to be a quality system.
