windows 98 se full product
Strengths: best value on the web. didn't need auth key.
Weakness: can't think of one really. didn't come in a jewel case?
got exactly want i wanted and needed. . i not only got win 98, but 98 SE with service pack one all on the same CD. didn't have to fool with installing 98, then get online and download everything else. huge time saver.

Weakness: Older product, but what I needed for my machine.
I looked all over the web for this software and this was the most reasonably priced I could find. It worked great for my machine, and I was very pleased with the delivery. Nice transaction.

This OS is good for my needs of...
Strengths: Win98SE is a sturdy and fast OS. Better for gaming in my opinion as less system resources are used up in the background.
Weakness: You need to make a bootdisc to install Win98SE. I don't have a floppy drive like many people nowadays. I had to get a workaround made. Also WinXp is better looking on th interface than Win98SE, but in gaming the desktop doesn't mean much.
This OS is good for my needs of gaming, as I mentioned in the strengths of Win98SE. It is generally a utility kind of OS nowadays, not the best looks but it works good enough. Problem is Win98SE isn't supported at all anymore. I hope it gets revived into a minimalist windows OS sold by Micro$oft.

better than 98+
Strengths: Installed on an old computer with a 120Mhz processer and 64 mb of ram. The sound card drivers were built in to this OS so I didn't need to look for them. Works very well.
Weakness: Sometimes you might need the original OS disc to install drivers for different add-ons like an ethernet card. Also, IE7 will not run on this OS, IE6 connects to the net though.
Made a ten year old machine useful again. I would buy again. The machine doesn't have a dvd or usb ports so I can't comment how well they work with 98.

Win 98 SE
Strengths: Win 98 has been a pretty good operating system and it is fairly stable.
Weakness: It has become obsolete and is no longer supported by Microsoft
I have an older laptop that will run with Win98, but probably not anything newer. I got the Win 98 so that I was running on a legal version that could be registered to me. I haven't been able to get a PC card to work that has USB ports in it. I thought the Win 98 would allow me to get the PC card to work. The only other thing is that it is the computer, NOT the Win 98 that is the problem.
