Best operating system from all i ever use
Strengths: Easy to install, easy to understand and easy to use
Windows XP Pro is still the best operating system that doesn't hog memory and rarely crashes. I picked up an OEM copy at Tveak for $59.99.

It requires that it be activated. Microsoft says it is a pirated software and won't activate the software. all internet addresses inputed come up saying no key for active activation. It also says that there is 30 days to activate. After that I hope that the machine won't quit working, I went back to restore to before installing this version and there is no restore back. I had to pick one star but I would pick no stars if I had the choice. The version sent to me was a Dell reinstallation cd for distribution only with a new dell pc. I wanted to upgrade to pro from home edition to facilitate networking for a tax program for 2010. update 12/30/10 I finally got the program to activate, so I am happy with the purchase. I think that the install process somehow messed up the internet explorer (I had version 6). I went on another computer and downloaded internet explorer 7 and installed it on the machine I was having the problem with and it automatically updated to version 8. When I went to the reconnect to internet process, the internet worked fine and I was then able to activate the windows XP Pro.

Windows XP Professional
Strengths: shipped quickly
Weakness: The product did not pass Microsofts validation test.
This is not acceptable. i will not accept software that is not validated by the manufacturer. with this copy of Windows XP you cannot receive updates etc. this product should not be sold.

This is a great product
Strengths: Very stable. Fast reboot.
Weakness: However, my reboot is not as fast as other reboots I have seen on other pc's. I think it may be my computer.
I use this product on my laptop and my desktop pc at home. I have found it to be very stable on both with less times rebooting. Also, I have notice that my overall pc performance is faster.

It is built on NT technology, but incorporated back into the realm of a Windows Desktop environment. I have found Windows XP to be a much better product than I originally antipipated when XP was first released. I am very happy with XP, and do not see myself using any other OS for quite some time.
