Old Office users prepare for a shock
Strengths: Not many I can see except it gets you closer to the 2010 version and you never know when MS will pull the plug on older version.
Weakness: Totally rearranged the tasks and put in the dreaded ribbon bar.
You can only add so much ability to a word processor and a spread sheet then without it being able to read your mind it pretty much tops out. I swear MS only made two changes to Office 2003 to get to 2007 and both were upsetting:1) they added the dreaded tool bar so that changes would be visually apparent. Not really an enhancement. It eats up more of your screen work space and forces users of previous versions to relearn how to use the software they were proficient in.2) They can claim it is more intuitive but in my experience it is just the opposite. Start with the ribbon bar, or better yet the top of the screen. Who would ever guess they hide some things under that Windows icon in the top left? Doesn't even look like a button and under this they hid much of your necessary actions. And who in their right mind would move the About screen under Word Options? In fact most of the stuff listed under resources are far from options like Diagnostics, About, activate and Contact us.The ribbon bar is just more confusion and comes out overall as nothing more that a reorganizing of the old option and preferences. Home tab is decent, Insert can really mess you up especially when dealing with tables, Page layout should have been named Page options, References is a strange place to find Table of content. Since what are you trying to do with a table of contents INSERT it, that's what. I won't bother you with the rest the rest.

Office 2007 - Nice update!
Strengths: Great interface, as others say, once you are used to it
Weakness: To adjust some properties in Excel and Word you still have to open a properties box like in older versions of Office--I wish these were accessible in buttons on the ribbon.
This is a nice program bundle--I only needed Word and Office so it was definitely cheaper to buy this version. You do need to get familiar with the new interface, but it's really intuitive once you do.

Excellent Product and Very Reasonable Price
Strengths: If you already have Office installed, say, from an OEM Preinstall that came with a New Computer, you only need to enter the Product License Key; no need to reinstall Office.
Weakness: none that I can think of.
VERY good product, almost the most current version of Office (I guess MS is releasing the new 2010 version ?); but plenty of Rich Features and POWER, especially for Students and Home Office use. PLUS this particular version of the product, comes with a 3-Seat License: you can legally install the Product on three PCs.

microsoft 2007 student and office edition
Strengths: The product came within a week, and was just as promised
Weakness: I did have difficulty verifying the progress of the shipment, but i think that is a factor of the us post office, not the retailer.
Very pleased with the product. the price was phenomenal, and it was delivered! I would shop with them again. at the minimum, i will always price check with them before shopping elsewhere.

Office 2007 vs 2003
Strengths: Compatibility with software at school.
Weakness: Compatibility with 2003 and earlier versions.
After years of using office 2003, moving to 2007 is quite an experience. Major changes were made to the basic layout of the home pages. The idea was to make things easier, but I'm not totally convinced that this is a good thing. Time will tell of this truly is an improvement in the ease of functionality.
