The old runaround
There's nothing new about Microsoft avoiding the issues and passing the buck when it comes to their games or o.s.'s. CFS1 was marvelous, CFS2 was a 5 out of 10 and now this CFS3 is horrible.

Combat Flight Sim 3
Strengths: Great graphics. Works with Windows Vista and have not had a problem. Lots of action and easy in rookie mode.
Weakness: Outside views would be a nice addition ... like the other MS flight sims. Pretty much locked into views from the cockpit.
Have not expreienced the problems others have mentioned. Loaded easy and flying just fine with no lock ups. Have not needed to seek support. Good variation in planes and locations.

Awesome game and vendor
I love Combat Flight Simulator 3: Battle for Europe! This was an amazing deal, I would have paid more at a local store like (Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, etc.) the process was very easy and a great bargain. Delivered product in a very timely manner--excellent service, great recommendation to buy from this vendor.

Flight Sim X
Strengths: Overall a great flight sim.
Weakness: Some glitches in the scenery, but these are minor and seldom detract from the game.

For those of you that have a 64 bit processor, you might be in for some trouble when trying to load this game. You will be instructed to load the system pack II. I did have the system pack II??? Calling Microsoft Support was "A JOKE." I got passed off from person to person for over two hours. Finally got sent to "tech support" and was told that I would have to pay a one time fee of ~$240.00 + for continued support. I took my computer back to the company that made it and they too had problems with Microsoft. Finally, they had to reformat my computer and reload all the software to get it to work. Microsoft support for flight sim problems is a real let down. Can't you afford to pay for some reliable tech help Mr. Gates?

Strengths: Some graphics
Thought this would be a worthy successor to my generally wonderful but no longer usable Jane's "WWII Fighters". Hardly. Target ID and acquisition are very cumbersome. No target view. Half the keyboard buttons don't work. Even after installing patches and updates, it still sucks wind.
