The warming drawer is worthless. We've had several problems with the range and home depot is replacing it. The overall quality seems questionable.

It works
4 Star Review   By Thelazers on Home Depot - Dec 12, 2012

If it still works in 10 years, I'll let you know. I really am tired of appliances lasting just about 7/8 years.

One year out and very pleased
4 Star Review   By gatsbygirl on Home Depot - Dec 4, 2012

I've been using this stove for a year now and am very happy with everything. It's reliable and everything functions well. I'm an avid cook and foodie so sometimes have three burners and the oven going at once. My Allclad stainless steel pans work great on the cooktop. I find the burners heat up quickly and I love the 3-size adjustable burner. The temperature adjusts pretty quickly too on the stovetop when you change it in the middle of cooking. I've never needed the bridge burner or the warming drawer. I use the drawer for storage though. The convection bake is nice, but I dislike roasting with convection because of grease splattering and smoking more. Overall I haven't found the convection to be much of a benefit. The covered bottom burner is very nice for wiping up spills. The steam clean feature isn't really necessary and doesn't seem to help. You can do that in any oven, by the way. The regular oven cleaning feature works well. Stainless steel finishes are difficult to clean, but I find the GE finish to show less streaking and fingerprints than my other appliances by different brands. I've used GE ranges for many years and am not disappointed. I find them to be reliable and repair free.

Great stove, great feature
5 Star Review   By SarahG on Home Depot - Nov 15, 2012

I have cooked on gas ranges for 30years and loved it. In my new home I could only have electric and I knew it would be a difficult adjustment. I have had many GE appliances so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed with the brand. I decided to treat myself to the convection oven, warming drawer, griddle size burner, very large oven ( perfect for feeding groups of 25+), multiple burners and burner sizes to make the adjustment easier. I love it! Burner sizes are fantastic, easy to clean, keep warm burner on stovetop is handy, and the convenience of a warming drawer is awesome! I am doing just fine without the gas range, all that worry for nothing.

Love our GE Adora electric range
5 Star Review   By Happyshopper on Home Depot - Sep 25, 2012

We have all GE Adora appliances and just recently purchased the stainless steel electric range. It fits perfectly in the space and looks great with the other appliances. We love the convection option, as everything cooks much more quickly. The warming drawer is also a terrific addition and great for big dinners. The delivery people were excellent, taking care to not scratch our new kitchen floor.

I love the 5 burner cooktop with all it's features!! This stove is a great looking product. I am also enjoying the smooth top. It allows me more room to move my pans around versus my old coil top. The oven is nice and large and love the 3rd rack!!

Just Okay
2 Star Review   By RitaH on Home Depot - Jun 10, 2012

Bought about 4 months ago. Cook top works well. I like the different options for the burners. However the oven is a huge pain. Temp regulation is all over the place. Set at 400 & it goes to 450. Set at 350 & it goes to 325. I used an oven thermometer to check when my cakes were burning. Not to mention that it takes 18 min to preheat to 400. I would never buy this again.

An Update on my prior review ("Haudi"): ease of cleaning
5 Star Review   By Haudi on Home Depot - Apr 21, 2012

Many review sites allow for updates; this one does not; whatever.... This week, I inadvertently activated the left rear burner instead of the left front and melted a plastic dish that happened to be sitting over the left rear burner – goo all over the element which hardened to a crust. Ruined? not a chance. You cannot believe how easy it was to remove with the scraper (that either came with the range or which I ordered online from CeramaBryte, the company that makes the cooktop cleaner). Kudos to GE for the durability of the range, CeramaBryte for its product and Home Depot for offering the Adora.

Great features, great price
5 Star Review   By ajsj15 on Home Depot - Mar 13, 2012

I love my new stove! The convection is great. I think it was an excellent value for the price. I agree with other comments that you can't use higher pans on the back burners but honestly I have not found that to be an issue at all as I have been able to use the front burners.

Lives up to its press clippings.
4 Star Review   By Haudi on Home Depot - Feb 7, 2012

We’ve had the range for just about 4 weeks. I’ve not used all the features but enough to make some judgments. Bottom line, It’s a good product. Let me say at the outset that I’m a ‘guy’ and an experienced home cook. I ‘roast’, pan-sear, sauté, poach, do risottos, frittatas, soups and stews, etc. The GE Adora replaces a coil range that had to be at least 20 years old. Cooking on it was like riding an old, wild horse: it didn’t always want to function; it had its idiosyncrasies; sometimes it was ‘all or nothing’. Its replacement is more akin to a well-trained ‘cousin’ – it does what it is supposed to do. I, the “jockey”, just need to make some adjustments to my cooking expectations and habits, relax and learn how to enjoy the ride. I’ve read some criticism about cleaning the glass surface. Yeh, it’s different, but no big deal. I’m probably more likely to keep it shining because the top is one smooth surface vs. the coil wells, the rims and all the nooks and crannies in the old beast. The cleaning product that came with the range works well; in fact, I just ordered a supply from Amazon. Again, I just need to alter my practice. I’ve also read criticism about how long it takes for the oven to reach the set temperature and ‘ditto’ for the burners. I understand that the reason for the lag time with the oven is that the heating element is hidden. Makes for a far friendlier surface to keep clean, so it’s fine with me. As for the range-top elements, my belief is it’s because they are way more “intelligent” (vs . the always “on” coils). Puzzling, at first, but no big deal, now that I know what to expect. I used the warming drawer yesterday. Excellent – just need to plan ahead and activate it ~ 25 minutes before I’ll need it. Nice job, GE.

Beautiful range
4 Star Review   By KB3805 on Home Depot - Oct 4, 2011

This range looks beautiful in our kitchen. The burners heat up super fast, and the oven has a ton of room. We love the bridge between the two burners on the left, great for our griddle pan. We bought it on sale, and got a great deal. It does have a few issues, but nothing I can't work with. The oven takes a while to heat up, but I think it is because it is so large. You can't use larger pots on the back burners since the thing the switches are on sticks out kind of far.

I Love To Cook!
2 Star Review   By StitchinSM on Home Depot - Sep 3, 2011

Because I love cooking/baking I took a long time reviewing ranges before selecting my purchase. I chose this range because it offered a convection oven, five burners, stainless steel finish and a high dependability rating at various web sites. The range is not close to the quality of my old Kenmore. It takes twice as long to heat up the oven which heats my whole kitchen far more than my old one. The convection oven does not shorten baking time for cakes and cookies. The rear burners are closer to the back than the front burners are to the front edge. This provides tall pots zero clearance from the backsplash to the edge of the burner. On the left side the two burners are not centered equal distance from the backsplash to front edge and that eliminates use of some pots. Do yourself a favor and take a few pots with you before deciding. Poor design by someone who must not cook!
