GRACE UNDER PRESSURE TOUR is a one-hour-plus laserdisc of concert footage from Rush's 1984 North American tour. It also includes a full-length music-video for the song "The Big Money."Personnel: Geddy Lee (vocals, keyboards, synthesizer); Alex Lifeson (guitar, synthesizer); Neil Peart (drums, percussion).Liner Note Author: Neil Peart.Recording information: Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.Directors: Bill Baker [5]; Bill Baker.Photographers: Dimo Safari; Fin Costello. In 1984, Rush filmed a show on trio's GRACE UNDER PRESSURE tour and subsequently released the concert on VHS tape and, later, DVD and Laserdisc. In 2009, the audio from gig was finally released as a stand-alone CD. Coming off a string of the group's biggest hit albums (MOVING PICTURES and SIGNALS), Rush is in top form, blasting through a tight, energetic set of prime `80s material ("Spirit of Radio," "New World Man," "Distant Early Warning") and a few choice hard rockin' numbers from the `70s ("Temples of Syrinx," "In the Mood"). Although GRACE UNDER PRESSURE TOUR LIVE finds the band fully and successfully integrating keyboards into its formerly guitar-based sound, there is no shortage of rock edge, and all three members' legendary instrumental virtuosity is on prominent display.
