This starts fairly conventionally, with "I Can't Stand It," a highly infectious three chord early '60s style soul number. But by the next song--"`G' Spot" - it becomes clear that the sub-text of this album (and there's very little sub, if truth be told) is Carter's familiar obsession, here euphemized several times as "strokin'," after his earlier hit of the same name.
Other notable variations on the theme include "Hot Dog," in which the sounds of a couple making love in an apartment next door rouse Clarence to a flurry of inspiration, and the poetic if self-explanatory "Let's Get a Quickie." minimize
