Over the years, I have bought every cat toy sold for my babies, and this one is hands down their favorite. It's made with real bird feathers so when it gets going, it makes the same noise a flying bird does and the cats go insane. When I'm tired and put it away, I have to hide it or they will drag it around the house to get me to play with them! Or if they see where I put it, they will try to get it and bring it to me. That's right - my cats bring this toy to me demanding to play! Even my older cats, who don't play anymore, join in the fun and jump a little when the feathers fly by them. We've had many toys that look the same, but they weren't made with real bird feathers and didn't make the noise the cats go nuts over, so the result wasn't the same. Da Bird is the best cat toy I've ever bought!

Cheap and poorly made

I got one play session out of i t before my cat tore the feathers from the base it was glued into. The 2 part wand is ridiculous and when you get a good speed going or the cat catches it, the whole thing separates and then you are chasing a string with a feather and a pole attached. Useless toy.

Cat loves this toy!

My cat loves Da Bird. This is the second full one we've had (I lost track of how many feather attachments we've had) because she's really hard on them! She's a large, strong cat! "Normal" sized cats might not be able to destroy them like she can! But, she actually also likes playing with the string on the "wand" itself if she manages to pull the feathers apart! She's a fetcher & likes to try to drag the toy here & there, but has trouble with the full "wand", but luckily I can take it apart & she can manage 1/2 of it! The feathers on this one are bright pink & she is even more attracted to the toy. This is now one of those toys that's added to her Christmas list, along with an extra attachment!

May Not be for Cats Who Play Too Rough.

My kitty went absolutely insane for Da Bird! She loved the spinning movement (and sound) of the feathers. She looked just like a wild cat hunting down her pray. Here is the problem though... She LOVES feather toys TOO much. Almost every feather toy I give her she snatches up in her mouth and starts growling (like a dog). If you try to take it away from her she attacks! She has some serious guarding issues with "pray". Some feather toys fair better then others, and Da Bird did not hold-up to my cat's rough standards. Within the first half-hour of play, she ripped 2 small feathers out, and the very thin black line was chewed through. The next play session (after I tied the line back together), she pulled the two long feathers out from the black rubber base, and proceeded to chew them up. I'm not saying this is normal cat behavior, but if your cat is as destructive on toys as my cat is, save your money!
