the bird's like it, and I could have built the box, but not within any time frame that would have paid for my time. It should have instructions for usage(inside ladder, type of material for nesting) and a check for parts. There was no perching rod. These deficiencies are minor compared to not having to build one, so I am satisfied and would purchase another, if needed.
