The Gentle Leader Easy Walk harness is an effective tool to assist you in teaching your dog not to pull on the leash. Using our previous harness, our mix black lab puppy, Shadow, used to act like a sled dog whenever we had her on the leash. She was always pulling on the leash, making every walk or jog a tug of war contest. The Gentle Leader has helped deter this habit, but not completely eliminate it. However, when coupled with tricks picked up from puppy class, we are well on the way to changing her behavior. My wife has commented favorably on the change in Shadow's behavior and even our kids are able to take her on a walk without being jerked all over the place. The Gentle Leader harness is also much easier to put on than our older, more traditional harness, which was always a challenge trying to get both of Shadow's feet into the proper holes. With the Gentle Leader, one loop goes over the head and a single band goes under her chest, making it much easier to put on, eliminating the fight I would have every time. The only negative I can see is that the adjustment buckles often slip, necessitating readjustments. Definitely recommended, however it is a bit pricier than some other harnesses.

The Gentle Leader Easy Walk Harness has been a life saver for me. I have two large breed dogs (one half Doberman / half Rottweiler and the other one a Belgian Malinois Mix). Both have tons of power and energy and love walks, but walking even one of them was difficult because of pulling and mild cases of animal aggression when we are away from the house. Every time I would start to regularly walk one, I would end up with crippling back pains from the constant pulling. From the very first time we put these harnesses on the dogs there was relief. The harnesses were easy to put on and on the first try I was able to walk both dogs by myself with absolutely no difficulty whatsoever.

This has been a lifesaver! It does take a little of figuring out at first how to get the harness on, but he immediately stopped pulling! Just last night I saw him chewing on something and it was his harness, which I don't leave on during the day while I'm gone. He's never done that before, and I think one of the straps was too loose and he was able to pull on it. By the time I saw him chewing, he had already chewed all the way through so there was no saving it. I almost panicked at the thought of having to walk him with just his collar, and yes, he pulled hard this morning without his harness. So, today I will be going to Petco to buy another one. And since they're on sale online, I'm getting another one for a spare! Definitely recommend!

Don't bother

We tried two sizes both did not work. Also to figure out how to make the harness fit you need a degree in engineering. Good luck to those that want to try it, hope you have better luck than we did.
