I bought this brush when the style # was 460 for my long haired cat 20 years ago. She lived to be 19 years old and this year we purchased our first puppy. Pom/Poo/Tzu She has long hair and I don't plan on trimming her, but this brush has lasted many brushings with my cat "Fritz" and I don't see it getting tired on my puppy "Kitty". I'm ordering another in case I loose this one.
