Excellent
Just recently decided it was time to start up a new tank. CaribSea Purple Up is the best way to start your purple coraline algae growing and spreading rapidly. I use purple up in every tank I own, and recommend to all my clients.

Snake Oil!
This product is one of those products that does nothing that good husbandry and regular water changes with a good salt mix won't accomplish. It does not and will not raise calcium levels at all. The product is nothing but ground aragonite in a water solution. What it MAY do is provide a base for coralline to attach to once it settles on a substrate. Well...
Well, right off the bat its better then "Purple-tec" but since i have only been using this product for a few a week i cant tell you just how well it works. i want to say i have seen in increase in my coralline growth but i could just be crazy.
