When I deployed to Iraq in 2005, at least 500 of these were purchased for Soldiers to put their personal and military gear in for shipping. It probably began for ease of transport, but these containers withstood a year of hard wear and tear in desert conditions, often hauling around hundreds of pounds of gear at once. Plenty adequate for my needs.

I did quite a bit of research for a rolling tool chest for my particular situation. I needed a good sized box that was relatively light weight, strong, easy to move around and hopefully would stand up to baggage handlers. I bought it in May 2011 and loaded it with my clothing and gear carefully weighed out to total just less than 100 lbs.for a full summer in Alaska. It was perfect for that trip...

Durable, holds up well considering the material.

I bought one of these back in 2004 to haul my tools from PA. to Mich.for a short job. I'm a weldor so the tools can be pretty heavy. Other than the wheels coming off shortly after I purchased it I have no complaints. As I said the welding tools are heavy so lighter loads might not be an issue. I simply welded both wheels to the axle rod and haven't had a problem since. It's still in use today....
