Great storage cabinet
5 Star Review   By Daniel on Home Depot - Mar 15, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I happened to get this on clearance at my local HD for $100 less than the listed price. It is a very nice design and holds quite a bit. I have my five piece combo tool kit and router with plenty of room for other things in the drawers. I like that its not a mechanics tool chest and more versatile for other uses. I got a great buy and happy with it. As far as quality of construction goes, I haven't found anything to be poorly made but I'm sure that there are some out there.

Great as Classroom A/V Cart!!
5 Star Review   By SchoolTeacher on Home Depot - Mar 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

03/09/13 - My wife is a middle school teacher and her existing classroom A/V cart was wholly inadequate -- This unit fits her needs nicely -- wooden top provides ample space for projector and document camera -- the top sliding shelf holds laptop -- lower shelves hold materials & supplies -- all A/V equipment tucks away securely into the large lockable cabinet when not in use. -- I installed multi-outlet power strips on each end, and hooks to wrap the extension cords. ~ BTW: Price drop @ Sacramento area store = $178.00 (no joke). ~One jazzed teacher! (oh, and if you can't locate the key, slide the top two shelves out of their channels and you'll likely find it dangling from a rubber strand inside the body housing -- that's where we spotted ours -- it apparently became dislodged during handling/unpacking).

Best kitchen cart EVER!!!!
5 Star Review   By absoluteemt on Home Depot - Feb 8, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Needed something different and stylish for my newly remodeled kitchen. After looking at carts designed for the kitchen, and not caring for any of them, my husband found this at Home Depot. It is the best kitchen cart out there. If it can stash and organize tools and mechanical stuff for cars and such, why wouldn't it work to organize tools for the kitchen? Everything from my crock pot, blender, toaster, all can easliy be stored out of sight, yet still with in easy reach because it's not too deep. I prepare all kinds of things on there, since all the tools I need are stored in the drawers below. I even have all my baking sheets and muffin pans in there. It does have wheels and in a bigger space I'm sure you could roll it easily, but the space I have it in is very tight and does not roll well, which is a space issue and does not reflect on the cart at all. In fact once it was put together, super fast and easy, it rolled perfectly well over the floor to it's new home. I just can't say enough about how well everything on this works for me in my new kitchen. And I think it would serve other purposes in the house for people looking for a lot of storage in a nice sturdy design. It's not just for the garage!!!

Great cart but no longer in stores and expensive to ship

Great cart with many uses. Good quality. For some unknown reason they no longer carry it in the stores so you have pay shipping to your home. They don't even offer free shipping to nearest store.

Good Value
4 Star Review   By G4guy on Home Depot - Jan 9, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I have to agree with the others about the bad welds. At least half of the welds do not connect the seams. Not a biggie as I have a welder but the cabinet is also held together with rivets etc. so its sturdy enough. Just don't put an engine block on it. To get the HUGE warning sticker off of the side. LIGHTLY sand off the shiny coat of the decal with 100 grit. You will know when to stop when you are getting the ink off as well. Then take Stainless Steel cleaner and spray. You will see the cleaner soaking into the paper. Let it sink in, and spray again. Gently scrape off sticker with a plastic scraper. I used a hotel room key and my fingernail. Clean off residue with Acetone and a rag. Let dry, and finish off with the stainless steel cleaner. BTW this was trial and error, I tried MEK, heat gun, clean razor blade (carefully). Nothing worked except the above method. This warning decal is worse than the 'Do Not Park Here' security guys put on your windshield. Other tip, flip the cabinet upside down to install the wheels, its tight in there. Throw away the supplied wrench. Its only good for scratching the cabinet.

I purchased this product for my husband who requires a sturdy work bench for odd jobs around the house and assembly of larger items. The bench is well constructed with a thick butcher block top and dependable shelves. Although the bench is heavy, the wheels make moving the bench very easy.

Great for the money
4 Star Review   By Toolchest on Home Depot - Dec 29, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Got this shipped to me for xmas. It was packaged very well and had no defects on arrival. Assembly took all of 5 minutes which was nice. Top is fairly solid. Shelving and drawers are ok, but don't plan on loading any drawer/shelf up with much weight. I think they are only rated for 25 lbs each. Locking wheels are nice and sturdy. This is a really good value for lightweight tool storage. I plan on cutting a whole in the top over the cabinet and making a router table out of the unit.

Can't beat the price for stainless.
4 Star Review   By KeyBiscayne on Home Depot - Dec 19, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I read the previous reviews about poor tack welds, and I must say that the quality of welding on mine is nothing to write home about. Still, the unit is sturdy and feels solid. The packaging was above average and as a result the unit came out of the box without so much as a scratch. The drawers are well suspended and the locks work as advertised. It is quite attractive. Because of the stainless look, you could get away with using it in a room of the house, not just the garage. Great value for the money. I would rate it higher if it had better tack welding.

great price and very nice work station
4 Star Review   By cowboy on Home Depot - Dec 18, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I purchased this work station to use as a bottom section for a 46inch kobalt stainless steel tool box. It is a couple inches wider than the tool box but absolutely makes this a better addition for the top unit than the kobalt toolbox lower section originally used for thsi purpose (kobalt is competitors brand). The best part is this unit cost nearly $200 less than the lower unit tool box and has nearly the same features and great quality. Plus it has the nice wood top and can be used as a workstation strand alone. I have been very pleased with the unit itself and would absolutely reccommend to anyone. My only complaint is the amount of time it took to ship. It was unusually long time to arrive and knowing that now I would have purhased ay the store instead of online next time.

5 Star Review   By Penguino on Home Depot - Dec 13, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I use this in an art studio and wheel it around a lot. The build quality is very good, all things line up,and feels solid. The wheels are great, moving over abrupt thresholds an inch high is easy. Drawers slide out most of the depth. Best $300 spent. The doors on the right side were pivotal in this purchase as I have tall tools and materials to store in there. Had no issues with actual build quality. It was missing the keys, but I called and they sent a replacement in a week.

5 Star Review   By Randy on Home Depot - Dec 4, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

One for the grill. One for the kitchen. One for the tools. I have noticed some people are complaining about the welds being tacked. It's stainless steal. If you can weld add some more welds. Its rated for 500 pounds. Put 500 pound engine on it and see if it breaks. Than call Home Depot, get some video first. If you notice the top can be replaced that's a +++ for me.

Not Just for the Garage
5 Star Review   By krancmm on Home Depot - Nov 29, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Love it - as a dining room sideboard/buffet. Could also be used as a kitchen "island", bedroom dresser. Perfect for the "in" industrial look . Drawers function smoothly, wood top is rock hard, drawer section and cabinet door can be locked separately. Only complaint is that several screws for the castors couldn't be secured - holes were too large. Didn't affect my use, but could be a drawback for those who are using it fully loaded as a tool chest.

Poor Quality Construction
1 Star Review   By Randall on Home Depot - Nov 27, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this chest for welding consumables and tools. While installing the wheels I noticed 3 welds on the frame that did not join their panels. The entire welds, which are little more than tack welds, missed one of the panels it was supposed to join. The pictures show this, as well as some decent tack welds. These should have been corrected immediately after the welds were completed, but that assumes there was a quality standard for welding integrity. Other panels were welded, but misaligned by 3/16". Who knows what defects were not visible to the eye? I fixed the problems I could see.

This Work Center works for the Kitchen TOO!!!
5 Star Review   By linda on Home Depot - Nov 27, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I love this work station in my kitchen! It provides all of the organizational features a higher priced kitchen island would command, at a fraction of the price! I love the fact that there is a full cutting board butcher block top and 100% solid stainless steel cart! see my unit at it's best!! Very sturdy! Very elegant..yes I said it,..ELEGANT!! Do not hesitate, I have recommended this to my sister who is a jeweler and purchased a couple for her repair stations. Multi-functional once you think outside of the "GARAGE"..

Great Value
4 Star Review   By chap on Home Depot - Nov 26, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

PROS: I bought this stainless steel rolling tool chest at my local HD store. The packing was above par; carboard, foam, and the white specialty sheet tape was attached to all of the stainless steel surfaces, including the back of the tool chest. The most appealing feature is the overall look. The cabinet is realitively light weight. I use mine in the house as a reloading bench and the large cabinet space is ideal for my powders and reloading components. The wood top surface is about 5/8" thick but it is solid. I love the stainless steel look and the casters/handle are more than adequate for its' purpose. The draws slide out easilty but I wouldn't put more than the recommended weight (limit, 50lbs) in them. CONS: This is not an industrial grade cabinet and I probably would not use it in the garage- for that I would go with a heavy-duty Craftsman or equivalent. The surfaces (inside and out) will dent easily. I think that this would make a good crafts cart or something equivalent.
