7 In. Wet Tile Saw
5 Star Review   By kmorg on Home Depot - Mar 7, 2010

Just completed a tile renovation on my kitchen counters and backsplash and couldn't have done it as quick as I did it without this saw. I had a lot of cuts to do and the stability of this saw helped to make very good cuts. A nice feature of this saw is it has a self contained water sump, which there was no need to have hoses hooked to it. Clean up of the saw was very easy.

Kitchen backsplash install
5 Star Review   By Pinner on Home Depot - Feb 27, 2010

Purchased this saw to install my kitchen backsplash, app. 25 sq ft. With no tile setting experience, this Huskey tile saw made the install very easy. The saw has plenty of power for the typical homeowner who want's to save money and do the job themselves.

Great deal, great product
5 Star Review   By ChrisB85 on Home Depot - Feb 9, 2010

Bought this one instead of the one in store. Got free shipping and I am more than pleased with this saw considering it was the same price as the cheapest one in store. I am not sure what others were talking about the blade shield. It adjusts and comes off if necessary. Perhaps they didn't figure this out. The guide works well, too. It isn't necessary on small cuts (like small cuts that you need when going around door frames). I used this to remodel a kitchen and bathroom. Also used it to create a marble countertop. Cut through ceramic and marble with ease. I did the entire renovation with the blade that came with it!. That's 40sqft of marble and over 350sqft of ceramic with the stock blade. Make sure that you have a towel under it. Better yet a few towels. You are going to make a mess, but that is true with all tile saws. This one sprays you in the front when you have the water to the preferred level. Good news is that most of the water that sits on the top of the tile while cutting runs back into the water well and not on the floor. When it comes time for cleanup, this thing cleans up pretty easily. Just spray/wipe it down and it's good to go. Don't leave the tile residue sludge in for too long (a few days) or you're going to end up with reconstituted tile in the water well. It comes up though, just add some more water and scrape it out of there.

Great Tile saw
5 Star Review   By Tampahandyman on Home Depot - Jan 28, 2010

I shopped around and found this wet tile saw to be the best deal. I am very pleased with the quality of product that it is. I used it for cutting slate tile and it goes through like butter. Real nice clean cuts. The laser light is also very helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this product for any one looking to get their money's worth.

Unbeatable for the price
5 Star Review   By RW75 on Home Depot - Jan 23, 2010

I recently purchased this tile saw and all I can say is that it is worth 3 times what I paid for it (online special of $99 w/free shipping). It has a very robust die-cast aluminum deck, not like the flimsy stamped steel type that you get with other tile saws in this price range. The fence is also cast aluminum and works well, although I did most of the cuts free hand. I considered tile saws in the $300 range, since I would be cutting expensive tumbled marble. To my surprise this one was of better construction than those three times the cost. You won't regret this purchase!

worked well for first time ever trying tile...
4 Star Review   By FirstTimer2 on Home Depot - Jan 19, 2010

Saw works and cuts well. This was my first tile job and first time using a wet saw. They can be messy, but this one seemed to get the job done just fine. You have to make sure the Fence is square using the tape measure on each side of the table...but I found using the ribs on the table for alighnment much easier. You can free-hand very easy with this as well. I found the laser not very helpful...but still used the housing to keep the water splashing to a miniumum...

Works for weekend DIY'ers
3 Star Review   By BigD57 on Home Depot - Jan 10, 2010

Saw is OK, I had expected a bit sturdier unit but it did it's job. The laser is pretty much useless and the design makes it hard to see the cut but if you use the lines on the tabletop it works fine.

Works, but....
3 Star Review   By scottman on Home Depot - Jan 9, 2010

Purchased the saw after checking the local rental yards. They wanted $50-60 per day rental, I got the saw on sale for $105. The laser is a complete waste. It gets water droplets on it and doesn't shoot a nice line. I didn't do any freehand cuts anyways, I always used the fence. Although I did find that the measurement numbers on the front and back of the table did not match squarely. Blade spins thru a tub of water, which gets it wet...thus making it a wet tile saw. No hoses or pumps. Good for clean up. Although you do get wet using it. I used it in January, so it wasn't too refreshing. Light weight and portable. Does chip tile slightly, even when cut with finish side down. I put a masonry blade on my circular saw and it made just as nice of cuts, although the table is nice. Cuts quick.

7 in wet saw
5 Star Review   By jess1s on Home Depot - Jan 8, 2010

I compared saws from different retailers. I puchased this one because it was on sale and for the price I got a bigger better saw than any others I looked at. It made my projects much easier and worked great. I was very happy with the resutls. None of the other saws had the laser. It made everything easier.

All Wet with this wet saw
2 Star Review   By gdu1 on Home Depot - Jan 7, 2010

While I was pretty impressed with the visual features, the functionality was less than impressive. First and foremost is the water. Plan on getting wet because the blade throws water all the operator. While I understand it's a wet saw and there's going to be water, I've used multiple saws where I didn't feel like I had just been sprayed by a water hose after using it. The fence is solid once secure, just hard getting it secure. Also the attachment for cutting angle cuts is great in theory, this attachment is not designed well. Once I finally got it even and set to cut, once the tile hits the blade, the tile would pull away from the attachment resulting in a sloppy cut. I'm not sure if it's the power of the saw or the design but I had to be so very careful at the end of a cut not to chip out the tile. I had to stop about an 1" from the edge of the tile and creep along super slow otherwise I'd chip it everytime. I was really hoping the saw would work out because I do like the Husky products and it seemed like a lot of saw for the money. At the end of the day, I returned this saw and puechased a different one.

Great product, great price
5 Star Review   By HarveyH on Home Depot - Jan 2, 2010

This saw replaced a Workforce tile saw that I had used previously. The Husky saw is made much better with many more features. It cut through ceramic and marble tiles in half the time, and the cuts seemed to be more precise.

Great wet tile saw
5 Star Review   By BobfromIowa on Home Depot - Jan 2, 2010

I have yet to actually use the saw, but have used other tile saws in the past.I am a very active diy-er. This saw has a great table, sturdy base, and a very good fence for a tile saw. The tilting half table is great for miter cuts, and all parts are well made and function well. Maybe best of all is the fact this saw has more power than most. I am very happy with it.

Really nice saw!
5 Star Review   By kismetique on Home Depot - Dec 28, 2009

We needed to lay a Granite floor in our washroom, so there were lots of cuts and angle cuts as well. This little saw handled the job perfectly! Both myself and my husband were pleased with this job this saw did. Angle cuts were a bit difficult and the beam is not totally accurate, but works well enough to cut nicely. We cut 2-3 practice cuts and never had to redo any of our cuts, so we didn't waste a single piece of our expensive granite! Would highly recommend this cutter, especially for the price. If we were going to cut a larger room or space, would probably buy a better grade blade, but for our needs, the supplied blade was just fine. Some report water splashing all around, we had none of that - water was well controlled and this saw performed exactly as expected.

wet saw, water everywhere
3 Star Review   By str8 on Home Depot - Dec 27, 2009

I like the saw , works great for the price, the only major design flaw is that inside of the water tub is an open top drain. If you tilt the saw a slight bit then the water / mess gets everywhere. The one other issue is trying to snap the flat cover back on, any little debris or tile shavings makes the top get stuck.

Good for simple cuts and nothing else
1 Star Review   By HDBrian on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2009

Lots of power, decent diamond saw blade, terrible fence. Fence was difficult to adjust and hard align. Additionally the haphazard crosscut attachment limited the width of cut. Will be returning.

4 Star Review   By InsertNameHere on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2009

I was surprised with the quality and usefulness of the saw. The rear of the rip fence caused the tile to stick. I did loosen the guide so that the tile did not bind.No need to use the laser.

Great Little Tile Saw
4 Star Review   By rkran on Home Depot - Dec 18, 2009

This is a great little tile saw for the do-it-yourselfer. It is solidly built and works well, although the laser feature is an unnecessary gimmick and not really needed. This tile saw has all the features most users will ever need, all for less than it would cost to rent a similar unit for several days. It has a good fence, a miter gauge and convenient power cord storage and carrying handle. It is easy to clean when finished. Simply set the saw over the kitchen sink and use the spray hose to clean the deck, collecting all the water in the reservoir and then draining the water and residue out of the bottom of the reservoir. Wipe it dry and you're finished.

Great saw, great price
5 Star Review   By dianeb on Home Depot - Nov 16, 2009

My boyfriend and I purchased this saw to cut tiles when we did a new kitchen backsplash. Not being used to using electric saws, I was cutting the tiles in no time, the saw was so easy to use. My boyfriend was able to cut very complicated cuts, even tiny glass tiles cut neatly in half without problems. The saw blade has no teeth and is therefore pretty safe when it comes to your hands; once I knew that I was out there cutting like crazy. We love it, and we're still not finished yet! The price is so good why would anyone rent a wet saw?

Great with some practise
4 Star Review   By SDDIY on Home Depot - Oct 31, 2009

This is a good saw, and an exceptional one for the price. The ability to cut any length tile, and to cut angles, makes this a notch above the other basic saws out there. If you just throw your job at it without taking precautions then the result with suffer (no surprise there). Make sure you have the best blade for your tiles (the one provided is a good general blade but you might do better). Make sure you move the work through the saw gently and slowly to ensure the best cuts. I would recommend getting a cheap brush to sweep the wet tile chippings off the saw after each pass. Of course the motor could be more powerful but it's only 100 bucks! Buy one now!

Very Impressed
5 Star Review   By SFLCassie on Home Depot - Sep 27, 2009

I'll make this simple - I am a petite female, bought this saw to re-tile my bathroom (walls and floor). Bathroom looks great - saw is incredibly user friendly (especially for not knowing much about power tools). I used a few different size travertine tiles (4"-12") and the saw cut them like butter! I did not used the laser so I cannot comment on that, but everything else was super! Not a problem at all!

7 in. Wet Tile Saw
5 Star Review   By GerryG on Home Depot - Sep 26, 2009

So far I have used this wet tile saw for 70 sq. ft. of 12x12 granite for kitchen counter tops and 50 sq. ft. of 4x4 Venetain Stone for the kitchen back splash. The diamond blade that came with the saw has held up very well and is still cutting as it did on the first cut, showing very little wear. The guard works fairly well but I would suggest wearing a plastic apron to keep from getting sprayed by the water. I haven't found a need to use the laser since you can see your marked tile for cuts. The guard works very nicely and runs true once set. I still have about 150 sq. ft. of ceramic tile to install on the kitchen floor and I have no doubt that it will work well without needing a new blade. I am totally satisfied with the overall operation and ease of use and for the money I don't think you can find a better saw! VERY PLEASED!

Wet-tile Saw
4 Star Review   By 210davidj on Home Depot - Sep 9, 2009

Saw cuts precisely and trims tile as narrow as 1/8 in from edge. Saw too small to accomodate cutting 16x16 diagonally with the use of the parallel fence and the 45 deg. angle guide so free hand cutting of the tile with the use of laser guide was extremely important in following cut line. Working surface must be cleaned constantly, generally after one or two cuts or residue will cake and prevent smooth feeding of tile into the blade. It certainly has made a difference in raising the level of confidence in working with tile projects.

Good Quality for Price
5 Star Review   By GardenGeek on Home Depot - Sep 8, 2009

Bought this to do a kitchen job. All the cheap saws around $100 looked like they were from the toy department with cheap plastic and sheet metal. This saw is cast aluminum and is sturdy compared to other saws in the same price range. Had some problems with chipping on porcelain tile. Called the company, they were very knowledgable and helpful. Blade that comes with this saw is for ceramic. They recommended the Mk Diamond Hot Dog blade for porcelain. Got the new blade and this saw goes right through with little chipping, despite the fact that it is on 3500RPM. You should use a higher RPM saw for porcelain and stone, but with the better blade, this saw makes good cuts.

Great saw for DYI newbie gal
5 Star Review   By CarrieB on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2009

I am refacing my condo fireplace with marble. This saw is pretty good for someone who has never used one before. I went on to pawn shops and on the net 3-days comparing consumer reviews, size, HP, amps, et.al vs. cost. I figured the bigger saw and HP, the better deal for the cost. I had it narrowed down to the QEP, MK-170, a Craftsman and then found this one. Even my "real-tools-man" boyfriend was impressed. -It's bigger, sturdier and has more HP than the other 7in. saws I could afford (

7 inch wet tile saw
5 Star Review   By citycop18 on Home Depot - Sep 6, 2009

I bought this wet tile saw along with the stand. The saw fits perfectly on the stand very sturdy. The saw was very easy to use and cuts very accurate. I cut tiles for the kitchen and bathroom and they came out beautiful. The water does splash somewhat while cutting but I can put up wih that. When getting to the end of the tile be sure to push very slowly through to get a perfect cut. This was my first time that I had tiled walls and using a tile saw as I am a novice home improver. If I can do it, then anybody can do it. I highly recommend both of these products.

Great Saw

Very easy wet saw to use. I was going to buy the $88.00 wet saw at our local Home Depot and saw this one on line and it was on sale. I used the $88.00 one for a small project and it was ok for small projects. I did a large project using 16 in. tile and this saw is more heavy duty.

Great DIY product
5 Star Review   By JillDIYer on Home Depot - Aug 21, 2009

I just used the saw for the first time today. OMG this thing is great. For the price I can't believe what a good deal this saw was. In other reviews some said that the laser wasn't so great. On that I agree. It's not really necessary. You have to mark the tile anyway for specific cuts so the Laser is surperflous. Can't use it in the sun anyway. It cuts great, and is super easy to use. Cleanup is easy too. The disadvantage is that there's no stand, but I used a Workmate from Black and Decker, and that was perfect as a stand for this little gem. I recommend this to anyone who is considering buying this saw. It's not meant for the professional, but for a DIYer who would use it occasionally it's perfect.

received and have used on a small job. everything is as advertised and works well for what I have used it on so far which were some cuts on stone, marble and granite.. have not tried laser at this time. I expect to use it to do two bath room counters, a kitchen counter and some mosiac work. So far I am well pleased with the product for the investment.

Good saw for small projects
4 Star Review   By JET01 on Home Depot - Aug 4, 2009

The saw was easy to setup and operate. As I was only cutting six inch tiles it worked quite well. The fence was the only tricky part of it; it does not slide or move well but it is not that big a deal. The sliding angle device was handy for doing many of the 45-degree cuts that I had to make. I don't think the lasar adds much benifit but what the heck! For the price point it was a good buy and for anyone that has small to medium projects it is a good investment and beats renting a saw.

Good value for money
4 Star Review   By Handywoman62 on Home Depot - Jul 24, 2009

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and usefulness of the saw. I had some difficulty with the rear tile guide alignment which caused the tile to stick. I did loosen the guide so that the tile did not bind. That did cause some problems with the laser guide but the saw has multi linear guides on the table, I love the saw - great for women!

super wet saw
5 Star Review   By mkeevan on Home Depot - Jul 23, 2009

This saw is a bargain for the price. I'm sure other more expensive saws may have some advantages, but this saw will do anything I'll ever need it to. The laser shows up well even outdoors. I have been able to cut 18" tiles with no problem. And the saw blade has held up well, unlike what I have heard from others. The secret is not to press too hard which also prevents those broken corners on diagonal cuts. I would recommend the portable table that Home Depot sells made for this table. This is my first experience using a laser on a wet saw - the time this saves is worth spending a few more dollars. No more drawing a cut line. Just a small mark at each end of the tile and let the laser line up the tile. This saw has more power than other saws I have used also. This allows me to easily glide the tile without pressing too hard and this is how I believe the blade has lasted through about 200 cuts so far. I highly recommend this saw.

Excellent Saw at GREAT price!
5 Star Review   By KimV on Home Depot - Jul 22, 2009

I had planned on buying one of the cheap $88 tile saws for my home tiling projects, but accidentally stumbled on this great online deal while looking for something else. Just used for first time today, and this saw works GREAT! Smooth, easy cutting, no problem with freehand or using the guide. Did find laser adjustment a little tricky to get precisely straight, but it's still handy. If you have tiling projects to do, buy this saw today!

great portable tile saw
5 Star Review   By bjpurkey on Home Depot - Jul 21, 2009

I love this saw. It is lightweight and cuts travertine with no problem. I like the amount of water that it puts out, and its easy to fill and drain. Just a simple saw that's great for a do it yourselfer.

I like it.
4 Star Review   By bamma on Home Depot - Jul 21, 2009

I'm no expert but the design was certainly adequate. The water is easily accessible and replacing the blade will be easy too. The blade is better quality than I thought would be included. I only needed to make twenty six cuts but the top was able to accommodate the 18" travertine easily. I like it. I didn't have any AAA batteries so I haven't tried the laser but the adjustment method seems clear, if necessary.

Great Value - power - quick setup - easy clean
5 Star Review   By BRinSanDiego on Home Depot - Jul 9, 2009

Excellent price - has good power, easy to setup and quickly clean. Miter cuts no problem. Makes any type of cuts a breeze. The fence is a little clumbsy to adjust and line up, but once you get used to it, no problem. Free hand is very easy to keep cuts lined up as well. Tip -- To prevent a slight chip at end of cut slow way down to finish cut or cut 3/4 of way and flip over to continue cut for cleanest edge. Tip - Use wet sponge to often wipe off cutting surface to keep tile sliding smoothly. Laser is nice feature but if you keep guard high enough to see blade, it is really not needed. Actually is fun to use and makes you want to do more difficult things such as diamond floor patterns that require much more cutting. No reason to not purchase a wet saw at this low price.

Awesome purchase
5 Star Review   By DIYer4life on Home Depot - Jul 6, 2009

We have been tiling our homes for several years now and this is one of the best tile cutters we have used. We recently borrowed a professional tile cutter and found it very difficult. Our Husky does just as good of a job and with the 45 degree angle cuts, you can save money on beveled edge tiles. Of course the edges remain a little rough, but they can be sanded down. I would definately recommend this tile cutter to anyone with small (less than 3000 sq ft) home tiling projects.

More than expected
5 Star Review   By Donlin on Home Depot - Jul 6, 2009

For a tile saw in this price range this is an excellent choice. I cut a lot of tiles doing a kitchen make-over and it made everything easy. I priced a rental and they wanted $56.00 a day so I paid for the saw with what I would have paid in rental charges

Great Saw
4 Star Review   By TLB123 on Home Depot - Jun 21, 2009

Didn't have any problems with this saw. Straight blade. Laser adjustments work well. No binding at all when cutting 12" tile. Could not use supplied guide on that large of tile when cutting 45degree but with the laser a nice freehand cut was easy and straight. When finished, just tilt it on its side and hose off the whole thing plus the inside water reservoir. Great saw for the price.

Good product / poor production
3 Star Review   By Charlie097 on Home Depot - May 6, 2009

Hello This is a good tool, and will do the job, but first you will need to adjust some things. The laser is of no use, The diamond blade is off center and you will have to loosen the nut, place a piece of paper of something at it's edge and turn the blade when you get the blade in the center of the hub, tighten the nut back down, the next thing that has to be fixed is the support for the laser, it's too thick, and will jam up on the tile. Thinning it does the trick, next you will have to move the laser support over to center the blade, On mine i had to take a hack saw and remove a section of the table in order for the laser support to move over that far, After all this, about 3 hours of trail and error, figuring out what needed to be done, it works good, I started to take it back to the store, but if you notice they have in the box do not return to store, I think, try it before you buy it is a good rule of thumb, if you are a do it you selfer, and can modify the tool, it works great, if not, it won't work and you'll have to fight to get the job done. I hope this was helpful.

It will get the job done
4 Star Review   By ColonelB on Home Depot - Apr 29, 2009

I'm an experienced DIYer. I own lots of woodworking tools and have crafted many things for my home projects. Remodeling a bathroom with porcelain tile, my wife coaxed me into buying the Husky 7" tile saw with laser. It was easy to assemble. I also purchased a stand for it. Both work well together. Having lots of experience with fences, I quickly realized the fence on the tile machine would not be on a par with my woodworking fences. While the scale is accurate the alignment of the fence, front and rear, requires operator diligence to be accurate. Setting up the laser was easy. However, during operation, I touched the control knobs numerous times without thinking skewing the alignment. My fault. Location of the control knobs could be further back. Diagonal cuts were necessary with my project. I used the fence and the attachment and found them to be less than ideal. However, once I learned it's quirks (sloppy fit) my cuts were accurate. Given the fact that I spent a week cutting and fitting tiles, renting a commercial-sized saw would have been quite expensive. It was smart to buy this one. I was working with 6" tiles on the bathroom project. Today, I upped the ante and moved to cutting 18' x 18" porcelain tiles. The table is outsized by this size tile. It's not as proficient as a commercial grade 10" wet tile saw with a sled. Accurate cuts can be made with the Husky but requires more care. I noticed that at the end of a cut the blade would sometimes chip off the last 1/8" ruining the cut. Once that happened I watched more closely as I came to the end of a piece...moving ever so slowly. That helped. I had very little waste. I recommend this saw as a good tool for the price, "it will get the job done".

great product
5 Star Review   By cwalford on Home Depot - Mar 31, 2009

This saw was purchased for some bathroom tile projects my mother and I are working on. Was super easy to get together and use! I don't do well with directions, but this was a no brainer.. Has a diagonal cutter thing and does miter cutting too, we weren't brave enough on the first project to try them though! Would definately recommend this saw, well worth the price.

quality control issues
4 Star Review   By craphound on Home Depot - Feb 7, 2009

First cut on a 12 inch tile hung up because the bracket that holds the guard did not line up with the saw blade. I had to take the top off and remove the bracket. Then I had to file the table next to the location of the bracket so the bracket would scoot over far enough for the tile to pass around the bracket when I was cutting it. Once I got it back together and finished the cut I realized that the bracket was slightly thicker than than the blade which caused the tile to try to bind as it passed around the bracket making it difficult for me to continue to push the tile through. So I took the top off again and removed the bracket again and filed it down on both sides. Once that was done, a 20 to 30 minute total operation I was in business, yeah! The saw worked fine and was quiet, a big plus in my book. When cutting it did create many small slivers and pieces that needed to be washed off the top of the table periodically to create a smooth surface. The table top is channeled so it is not a big deal as many of the chips fall into the channels below where the tile rides. I wonder if you bought a very good blade if this would not be an issue. The blade on any saw is where you should spend your money anyway. I agree with jasony on all his comments as well although I would call them a minor pain. I actually liked the scale on both the front and the back to help me make sure I was lined up straight. Final opinion. A good saw that was hundreds less than other saws. Good for the do it yourself homeowner. I have used the kind with the table that moves on the rails and I like this one better.
