I love this table saw stand
5 Star Review   By jds18 on Home Depot - May 21, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The gravity rise saw stands that are made today are great products, especially for busy contractors and workers. Set up and take down are a snap! This Bosch stand is well built and holds up to the demands of a construction site. I won't use anything else!

What an improvement to my table saw.
5 Star Review   By lou1f on Home Depot - Apr 22, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I've owned a Ryobi BT3000 for years, love this saw but very difficult to move around and transport. Thought about getting new portable saw but didn't want to give up my Ryobi. Wasn't sure if it would fit, couldn't find any information on internet. Purchased knowing that Home Depot would take it back if it didn't fit. Had to drill four holes but worked out great now have a saw that is portable and easy to store.

Best portable stand I've used
5 Star Review   By Casey on Home Depot - Mar 11, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I've been a professional carpenter for over 25 years and this is, by far, the best portable stand I've used. Very easy to use. Very well built. Some have complained of the weight of the stand, but that's definitely a BIG plus in my book. When ripping sheets of plywood, long stock, or heavy boards on a jobsite it's the only stand I've ever used that you didn't have to worry about pushing the saw/stand over if things hang up a bit or you push a little to hard/fast. The stability and build quality are also awesome in this reguard. I purchased this stand in a package deal with the table saw on sale. It also came with a rebate that made the saw the same price with or without the stand. However, after using this thing professionaly for about six months now, if I'd had to pay full price it would still be a no-brainer in my book. As a few others have stated, it would be nice to have the wheels placed a little further from the frame so it didn't drag so much going down stairs. It's not terrible or bad enough that I feel it's a safety issue. I just have to be really carefull to not cause damage to a customers stairs especially if I need to move the saw/stand by myself. Absolutely not a deal breaker in my book, but could be for people slight of build. If all tools were constructed and thought out this well I would have saved A LOT of money over the years!! Also, I'm not one to write reviews unless I feel very strong about something. In fact, this is the second product I've written a review for (that I can remember anyway). I like it so much that I've been trying to find (it seems to be out of stock every where) the companion stand for miter saws. And won't think twice about paying full price for it if need be.

Make your saw more useable
4 Star Review   By Cofisher on Home Depot - Feb 19, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Shopped for some time before buying the Bosch. I really like the portability and minimal footprint for storage. Assembly was average, fitting my Ryobi was not that easy. Sets up at a comfortable work height, not adjustable in that area. Looking forward to many years use.

Works great
4 Star Review   By timify10 on Home Depot - May 8, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I was eyeing this stand for my portable Ridgid table saw. I finally ordered it and it arrived shortly after. What attracted me to this well build stand was that it isuniversal. It supports various models and makes of saws. Anyway, there were not holes my Ridgid saw and I had to mark and drill holes through the table top to support my saw. It is well made, works as it should, makes it easy to move around and store.

Solid well built stand, no complaints here
5 Star Review   By Tano on Home Depot - Jan 30, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this stand to use on my ridgid R4500 portable table saw to replace the heavy steel folding stand it came with that I had to wrestle with every time I wanted to use the saw. This stand has pre drilled bolt patterns for a lot of different brand saws, as well as some that are not pre-drilled like the ridgid but the hole layout is clearly marked in the instructions and easy to do. I honestly could not be happier with this stand. It makes setting up the ridgid a snap and storing it after the job is done a simple task. Just turn the handle, tilt forward and fold up the stand. This was the best investment I could have made for a portable table saw, and when the time comes to replace the ridgid, this stand has the ability to accept another brand just as readily. Assembly took about 30 minute’s tops.

Great use on any saw

This stand is a little hard to assemble but it can be used on any portable saw. You may need to drill extra mounting holes. Makes storing your saw very easy and portable.

The design is good, but not the manufacturing
2 Star Review   By GCDan on Home Depot - May 28, 2011    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

At first look the stand looks pretty good. But it is made for a Contractor's saw, so it has to be light and fairly compact to be portable enough to be useful. This stand falls short. When folded up it is too bulky, it takes up too much room in your truck or van. It is also too heavy, the stand would be much more useful if it was made much lighter so it was more portable. It is normal for contractor's to carry tools up flights of stairs, this stand is just too heavy. As I unpacked the stand I noticed that screws were loose, hinges were loose and part tolerances were too wide. Basically it did not feel anything like you would expect from a tool with the Bosch name on it. As always, Home Depot was excellent in accepting the return of the stand, thank you. Dan

Gravity Rise Table Saw Stand
5 Star Review   By MikeTexas on Home Depot - May 1, 2011    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Wanted more mobility for my 10" table saw, and this stand delivered! My saw is Ryobi, and this unit was not pre-drilled for that model, so had to drill 4 holes to mount the saw, but no issues in doing so. This stand folds and rolls beautifully with saw installed. Great product!!

BOSCH TS2000
4 Star Review   By member jason71 - Jul 6, 2008

Strengths: Construction, functionality

Weakness: weight, modifications may be nessasary

I own a Craftsman 10inch Table saw which came equipt with a stationary stand. the stand works fine if you can leave it somewhere which was not really an option that I had... In looking for a portable solution i ran across the Bosch table saw stand and purchased it. 1st off this stand is not light but it is constructed decently well. I quickly learned that my craftsman saw did not line up with any of the Bosch pre drilled holes (which I kinda expected so it was no big deal) so I fabricated a 3/4 plywood adaptor...keep in mind if you need to do this you may also have to cut a square section out of the bottom or the saw may not be able to discharge the sawdust... over all I`m pretty pleased with the stand it does however take up a lot of space and is heavy to load into the truck... I still think it was a worth while purchase...however if I were to do it again I would have bought the complete Bosch table saw and stand set up as a set.

Excellent stand for Bosch 4000
5 Star Review   By member foxt - Mar 14, 2008

Strengths: - Fits the Bosch 4000 without modification - Setup and transport is a breeze

Weakness: When cutting large sheet goods its a bit unstable, but I would expect that with any portable stand.

When I bought my Bosch 4000 TS, I had to take the model with the fixed stand vs. the gravity rise. I waited for a good deal on this stand, and I am glad I switched. It's as convenient as advertised. Very easy to setup and use. I can't vouch for other table saw models, but if you look around on the web it seems that there are many reviews for this stand with other saws. If you are thinking about buying the Bosch 4000, get version with this stand. If you are thinking of picking up this stand, I highly recommend it.

Great option for most portable table saws--but might require modification
5 Star Review   By member jdhayes117 - Mar 24, 2007

Strengths: Strong and extremely easy to use. Very portable. Very versatile.

I believe the previous review was misleading. The reviewer gave an excellent accessory 2 stars because he didn't do his homework. I have one of these for my Bosch 4000. It was easy to set up and solid as a rock and works exactly as advertised. In fact, I liked it so much I just ordered one on which I intend to mount my DeWalt 12" miter saw. The previous reviewer was correct in that you may have to modify the base for mounting your saw. Bosch has predrilled mounting holes for some of the most popular competitors saws such as the Dewalt DW744, a Craftsman model, a Makita and some others I don't recall. The do say though that you can drill holes in the base and mount others. I put my miter saw on the base before I mounted my table saw and saw how I could do exactly that. The solution the other reviewer used, creating a transition plate is also an option. Once the tool is mounted though, you won't be sorry. Moving and setting up is an absolute snap. One last thing, he complained that it was difficult to operate, requiring considerable strength. My suspicion is that he overtightened some of the pivot bolts. Bosch specifically says to not overtighten them because the parts have to rotate. I'm confident that my saw could be setup for operation and reconfigured into moving mode by my 78 year old mother. My only caveat--my experience is for the Bosch 4000 for which the saw was designed. I don't know if there are balance issues with other saws that may affect this. If you are mounting other tools to the caddy, make sure to consider the weight and balance of your tool when deciding where to mount it.

Bosch 'Gravity-Rise'Table Saw Stand TS2000
2 Star Review   By member mrbillmo - Jan 2, 2007

Strengths: Quality, construction and engineering. Easy to assemble.

Weakness: Not as easy to raise and lower as advertised. Implied compatibility with major saw brands needs qualifying. Specifications sketchy.

While the stand was advertised as compatible with other table saw manufacturers, the information within the manual identified compatibility only with specific models of other brands. The mounting hole pattern for my particular saw (Craftsman Model 113.29940) was absent, however I was able to make a transition piece from 7/8 in. plywood without much difficulty. No total weight limits were specified, although a maximum loading of 250# per corner was specified in the accompanying manual. My model Craftsman table saw is quite old and has a cast iron table top which makes it quite heavy (estimate 60-70#). Despite the misleading 'Gravity-Rise' implication of ease of collapsing and raising, I found the stand quite difficult to operate, requiring considerable strength. No dimensions or maximum weights were available in any of the advertisement descriptions or in the manual. My intention of storing under my work bench was not to be realized because of the length (~47 in.) The collapsed height (~16 in.) was also important to me and not specified. If you intend to purchase this stand, check compatibility with your model saw in the on-line Bosch instruction manual first.
