I had a jaquizzi pump in my well for 12 years and finally with an extremely dry summer and no low pressure shut off switch , it burnt up when well went low. I bought a flotec from home depot, mainly due to the 3 year warranty compared to many other's 1 year warranty. Installation was not bad at all. Water pressure was good after install and added a low pressure shut off switch in case well level got low, switch would kick off. Just before 3 year warranty was up, started getting little white fibers in water and water stopped filling into pressurized holding tank. Pulled pump and impellor was trashed. Called Flotec and they said I could send pump back and they would check it out and either repair or replace it. They said it would take about 3 - 4 wks. I asked them what I was supposed to do for that time without any water? They told me to return the pump to home depot for an exchange. Our home depot was out and I had to go about 1 hour away to get to a home depot that had one. Put new pump in ground, but home depot just even exchanged and gave no reciept for new one. Exactly 2 years later, pump burned up again. This time I am trying a different brand pump, due to to Flotec being a JUNK pump!!!! Don't wasted your time or money on this pump.

Best deal around.
Replaced original pump that had lasted 17 years. Old pump was 1/2 HP and new unit I chose is 3/4 HP.This is the best flow rate and pressure I have ever had.
