laser level does not last
2 Star Review

Strengths: fairly accurate

Weakness: not very well made, too much pastic not made for everyday use or in the commercial world

I`ve had the inventek laser level for about a year and used it only 3 times and it is now broken. Plastic bracket that holds pendulem inside has broken off. I cant seem to get a hold of the company to get a replacemnt

Strengths: Ability to project both vertical and horizontal lines. Price.

Weakness: Not a name brand, sold only on QVC.

My brother told me that he bought this laser level as a Christmas present to himself in December 04. Both he and I were concerned because it wasn't made by "Black and Decker" or "DeWalt" but rather Inventek and sold only on QVC. Once I purchased a no-name food vaccum sealer from QVC which ceased to work the following day, so needless to say I was very concerned about name brands and QVC. Also, there were absolutely no reviews on the Internet concerning this level. But this laser level seemed to be the only one capable of projecting both vertical and horizontal lines, which we thought would be very handy. Also, the price was right, especially considering it includes the tripod which you normally have to pay more for, so he went ahead and put in the order. When my brother received his laser level and and I found out it actually worked for more than a day, I purchased one as well. It arrived yesterday and we immediately tested it out. It seems to work nicely although the kids were jumping around which seemed to make the tripod and thus, self-adjusting laser lines wobble. I assume that would happen with any laser level. When the kids were not jumping around I did not notice a significant wobble and you could "lock" the lines steady. My husband is upset with only one aspect - that he didn't have this laser level earlier. I do recommend this product.
