Sorry I bought this. Horrible.
1 Star Review   By happyhomeowner on Home Depot - Mar 12, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

My daughter has the same Toro electric snow thrower that's a few years old and is really a workhorse. I have used hers many times and wanted one myself. This new one is worthless. It's much smaller and if you saw them side-by-side you would be appalled by how cheap the new one looks. ZERO power. I would rather shovel. I absolutely HATE it and feel like a sucker for buying it.

Great for the money
5 Star Review   By Lisa on Home Depot - Feb 23, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I have only used the machine one time, but it is really nice. Much better than using a shovel. The cord gets in the way a bit, but it is a great starter blower. I have limited storage in my garage, it fits into a small space.

Easy, simple, small to store on a shelf, works

So far this winter I use this snow blower once. The winter is almost over. The time I used it was 4” of snow I really did not need a snow blower for. But I was so eager and desperate to use it, so I did. There wasn’t enough snow to give this little eager snow blower a good test. The little snow blew about 3, 4 feet away. I guess there wasn’t enough to throw further than that.

The 1500 power curve does a great job blowing snow!
5 Star Review   By PopPop on Home Depot - Feb 9, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Today we had 8 inches of new snow. What would have taken me over half a day to shovel I did in less than 20 minutes and then did my neighbor's drive in less than 15 minutes. Easy to operate, light weight and safe to use on wooden decks. I am well pleased and highly recommend the 1500 power curve for snow removal. My drive is a 2 car drive and it handled the removal well.

Does what I need it to do
4 Star Review   By Ignatz on Home Depot - Jan 22, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I got it to clear snow off our back deck. What I like best is that it has a directional discharge chute so I can direct snow away from the house to where I want it to go. It can't handle the super-heavy snow that slides off the metal roof of the house 2 stories above, but that's more than I would expect it to do. It has no trouble moving a typical snowfall. Only problem is the interlock key mechanism that seems to be an unnecessary nuisance. Every time I release the bail I've got use the key to start again -- not easy because this is a winter appliance and I'm wearing gloves. Why isn't squeezing the bail to the handle enough? (That's how lawnmowers work)

IT WOULD NOT HANDLE 3 INCHES OF LIGHT SNOW
1 Star Review   By OLDMARINE on Home Depot - Jan 22, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I BOUGHT THIS TO CLEAR SNOW OFF MY DECKS. IT SHUT DOWN REPEATEDLY IN USE AND WOULD NOT CLEAR 3 INCHES OF LIGHT FLUFFY SNOW. iT STOPPED AND I THOUGH I HAD TRIPPED A CIRCUIT BREAKER BUT FOUND THAT THE POWER WAS ON - IT JUST QUIT WORKINNG FOR A FEW MINUTES, THEN WOULD RUN FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS AND QUIT AGAIN. I RETURNED IT. A SHOVEL IS FASTER AND EASIER! DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!!

Perfect for small jobs
5 Star Review   By Terrie on Home Depot - Jan 15, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

So far, love it. I have only had it a few weeks, and we have only had 1-4 inch snows, but it works well on that for clearing our deck. We will see when we get a 12" snow. It is easy to use and very functional, and seems to be very dependable - great value!!

Ordered after straining my arm and back shoveling snow. Received after having about a foot more snow. First use was to remove as much of the newest snow as possible and the unit did a good job. I did not expect to get it all the first time. It took two runs over the entire area to remove that much snow. Had another 6+ inch snowfall and got out while still snowing. It did a great job with one pass. 45 minutes on a 12X100 foot drive plus porch area.

Good for some snow
4 Star Review   By Nicole on Home Depot - Jan 9, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This worked well with really dry snow. It blew it really high (watch for the direction of the wind) and in a general direction. I wish I could have changed the arc of the blown snow, though (it was blown REALLY high). It also wouldn't work on the more frozen and wet snow underneath. But it got through some of the bank at the end of the driveway.

I Like It
5 Star Review   By Fran on Home Depot - Jan 1, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Bought to remove snow from my deck, 480 sq ft. Got tired of lifting snow over the rail. First snow was 12". Not really designed for this much snow. took a little while but it worked just fine. Adjustable shoot is a must and worked as advertised. Good power output. Chucks the snow a good ten feet. Only thing that would make it better is a way to rotate the chute from the handle.

Good product for the price. Sometimes it turns off suddenly and you need to restart it. But in the end it makes the work.

Hasn't snowed yet so haven't tried it. Will be happy if it never snows and I never get to test it out . :-)

A friend recommended this to me so I ordered it in. Will be thrilled if by just ordering it, it prevents any snow from falling this winter.

Power, ease of use, value.

Had one of these years ago and it had a handle to turn the chute from the operators area ... now you have to lean far over the handle to adjust the chute. Otherwise if this one has the same history as my last one, I will be ecstatic. Will use this one as it is designed ... for small areas.
