5 Star Review   By lookingforwork556 on Home Depot - Feb 16, 2008

I was looking for a chainsaw that can be good for cutting down good sizes trees. When i started it up it worked perfeced i have cut down about 50 trees and it still runs great. It is strong it will cut down any trees in your way. It only takes 5 pulls for me to start it and in the winter it only takes about 8 pulls.i have all sortes of chainsaws but this chainsaw is the best one i have ever tried.

Outstanding Chainsaw!
5 Star Review   By Gecko on Home Depot - Dec 31, 2007

I've owned this chainsaw going on three years and it has performed wonderfully. During the winter season here in New Jersey I use it to cut firewood into smaller pieces for my wood burning stove two or three times per week and it has never let me down. As a matter of fact, I still have the original chain on it (I have yet to sharpen it) and it still cuts through wood like butter. For the price of a new chain it's easier just to purchase a new chain when needed.

JUNK
1 Star Review   By homtek on Home Depot - Nov 1, 2007

This chainsaw constantly stalled out and never idled properly. Constantly leaked oil. Only used it twice before the starter cord completely jammed. Now I have a chainsaw that I have to have repaired and what I'd really like is ANYTHING but a Poulan. VERY UNSATISFIED.

great saw!
5 Star Review   By kess on Home Depot - Oct 11, 2007

This chainsaw has been wonderful to me. It started right up out of the box and did great its first few cuts, then i turned it off and could not get it started back again. After 30 min of pulling i got too frusterated and literally flung it about 20 yards into the woods. after an hr or so i calmed down and tried again and i havent had a problem with starting it since. it just needed a little tuff love. i noticed the cut was always crooked on trees larger than 6 or 8 inches . so i took it to a repair shop thinking i needed a thicker after market chain and bar but i then realized that i was just sharpening the chain wrong. of course it was cutting crooked, only the cutting links on one side of the chain were sharp so the cut curved towards the sharper side or the chain. but that was my fault and not the saws. Since then, i have cut huge oaks for fire wood and just light land clearing. this saw is 40 cc and 18 inchs of power. i would recommend learning how to sharpen the chain links properly or you will ware the factory chain out. or you could replace the chain with a commercial grade chain like i did for a more aggressive cut. the saw has plenty or power for a heavier duty chain. My friend says it looks girly and his little girl said it looked like a toy, but theres nothing girly about how it out performs most others with an added commercial grade chain. i would recommend it to everone from beginners to vets. especially for the price

A Good, Strong Saw For The Price
4 Star Review   By VLAD on Home Depot - May 25, 2007

This is a great chainsaw for the price... if you don't mind some adjusting. I experienced the problems that others listed, but they are all easy to correct. The starting problems are caused by the factory throttle position being set a little too low, you just need to turn a screw. The starter rope problem can be overcome by oiling the springs and plastic rope wheel, this will keep the rope from sticking. The unit does use alot of bar/chain oil, but only leaks for a little while after running it... not constantly. Also... there is no chain slipping problems if you keep your tension set. Overall this is a very strong saw that runs great... it just needs a little "tweaking"

Good saw
3 Star Review   By robsterclaw on Home Depot - Apr 4, 2007

this is a decent saw for the price. I did have the chain pop off the guide twice when cutting up a tree. Over all it runs and starts well.

Great Saw
5 Star Review   By RickNWife on Home Depot - Mar 21, 2007

Have had my wild thing for 3 years and not a problem with it. Starts every time even in cold weather. I have had many chain saws and for the $$ this one is by far the best. No chain skipping or oil leaks.

good little saw
4 Star Review   By jerry10 on Home Depot - Mar 8, 2007

The saw started and ran great right out of the box doing what it was supposed to without problem. As mentioned by another review, this saw does drip a little bar oil after use, but did seem to stop after a while.

Leaks
3 Star Review   By Grant on Home Depot - Feb 26, 2007

After buying this chainsaw and filling it up with the proper fluids, I noticed right away that it leaks bar oil when it is sitting on the floor or in the case. No review mentioned this but after doing a search on the internet I found the same concerns. While the chainsaw seems to be be great in other areas the leaking is a pain.

Junk
1 Star Review   By Zukchance on Home Depot - Feb 13, 2007

I'm sorry to say this, but this is a toy.Looked good for the money. It was VERY hard to start & when it did start after pulling on it 50+ times it would not stay running.Barely touch the thorttle & it would die.Hit the trrottle hard & it would lug for 3-5 seconds before it would get going.I hope it was the one bad one in the crowd. Took it right back to Homedepot. They took it back & let me get a different chain saw. This time I got the Homelite 16" Ranger.I've had Homelite in the past.Never agan will I look at anything but a Homelite. Great saw

This saw was good to go out of the box. Chain never fell off after three large trees as others have said. Very strong saw.

Great saw
5 Star Review   By Mack1 on Home Depot - Oct 24, 2006

I purchased this saw with having had other saws in the past, thinking that for the money it just wouldn't do the same job as more expensive saws. I was wrong. It starts easy and does the job just as good as the others. I'm impressed!
