single worse product I ever purchased
1 Star Review   By rwgeorge on Home Depot - Aug 28, 2012

I purhased this pressure washer in late summer 2011, used it one time to wash a small (10' x 10" ) deck. Attempted to use it in 06/12 and it would not work. HomeLite would not honor warranty because I did not have receipt. Authorized service rep said motor was completely burned out,

1 Star Review   By BuyerBeware on Home Depot - Jun 22, 2012

The power washer just stops after 5-10 seconds and throws the circuit breaker. These issues occurred after only 6 mo. The maintenance free pump may still work but the electronic system will not allow the pump to prove its adtjective supported name. Buyer Beware!

This is an awesome machine. I have had it for 2 years and use it to power wash a large concrete patio and a variety of other smaller jobs. It does an amazing job and is easy to use. I've never had any trouble with mine. Go Husky!

Awful
1 Star Review   By Shogunwarrior1015 on Home Depot - Apr 10, 2012

Looks great in the store, but awful once it comes out of the box. Very cheaply made, and it stops working after about 15 minutes...water comes out in spurts. I hooked up my fathers washer to my same hose, and it worked fine, so it's not the water pressure.

1 Star Review   By Rondem on Home Depot - Apr 9, 2012

MY opinion about this machine is not allowed by this site, however, look at the enclosed photos and decide for yourself. This happened to both machines I owned (the second one is still in my garage). I gave it one star for it's looks and how it operated for ten minutes.

Broke after 3 uses, should have read the reviews
1 Star Review   By Mams on Home Depot - Dec 19, 2011

I bought this and it appeared to be promising, I even posted about it online bragging about it. Then I got it out to clean the truck and it wouldn't turn on. Popped the top off, the water was spewing out of the plug that is electronically controlled and the control module was bad, and not able to hold any power. I tried to get the plug to go back into the unit only to find it was totally stripped. Pulled out the receipt, 90 day warranty expired 60 days ago. I used this less than 5 times, and it was on sale for 99.99. I didn't get my money out of it, and wish I would have read the reviews before purchase. Yes, it worked ideal the 5 times or so, and now it's by the curb for pickup.

Great for light duty
4 Star Review   By steeevin on Home Depot - Oct 17, 2011

I bought this to power wash my patio and siding. It does a good job with basic cleaning but lacks the power to really blast off stubborn dirt/stains. I'd recommend it for someone who doesn't need the power or hassle of a gas powered pressure washer.

We bought this washer, because of it's price and we didn't want a gasoline one. We bought it only to wash our driveway and steps, and for these tasks it does just fine. Have had no problems, and the driveway looks great.

gets the job done
3 Star Review   By nonickname on Home Depot - Aug 31, 2011

The Deckmate works well for cleaning a deck or driveway. The only negative that I have to say about this product is that it is cumbersome dealing with the electrical cord, garden hose, and spray hose all in the back of the unit.

Garbage
1 Star Review   By plmb4u on Home Depot - Aug 28, 2011

I purchased this washer in summer of 2010. The FIRST one, the motor wouldn't stop running. After contacting customer service, I took it back for an exchange with no problems. I used it twice that summer. I took it out this summer, 2011, and it is broke. The water line from the pump to the wand hose broke off. The part isn't even listed in the manual, so i can't get it replaced. The unit is a throw away and should only cost $50. 2 pressure washers, 1 lasted for only 2 uses. find another brand people.

This product does just what I want!
5 Star Review   By ab123 on Home Depot - Aug 24, 2011

This product is easy to use simply follow the instructions, make sure that the water hose is hooked up - before you turn on the machine. This machine saves me from having to purchase an added attachment. The unit itself rolls along the ground and pressure washes about a one foot circle. The jets are one inch off the ground and the 1500 psi is all you need. I was really surprised at what a good job the washer did with just plan water.

Worked great last year..fell apart this year.
1 Star Review   By MrChristopher on Home Depot - Aug 4, 2011

This unit worked fine last year...used once to clean driveway, porch, sidewalks. Prepared to do the same thing today..one year later...and as soon as water pressure was sent to machine...it began pouring out from underneath. I heard a mild 'pop' when turning on the faucet...but..didn't think much of it. Ultimately had to disassemble the machine to get to the water hose INSIDE..which had broken loose from its mounting clamp. Discovered a very cheap plastic clamp that broke its tabs. Put on a proper clamp...and managed to get the unit back together (don't try this at home) only to discover the detergent line inside had clamped itself shut. Took machine apart again..re-routed detergent line. Got it back together again...and...on/off buttons refused to work. Fixed those...off and running. No detergent/cleaning agent forthcoming. Who knows..I give...guess it's going to the curb. Lesson learned. Don't buy.

Love this little pressure washer
5 Star Review   By LC2000 on Home Depot - Aug 3, 2011

I have used this extensively in the last month (at least 20 hours), it works well and is well made. The fittings are metal, but the housing is plastic. It is durable. Do not confuse this with a large gas model, it is not as powerful, but it does a good job around the house. For me the lower pressure is a benefit - I can allow my teenagers to use it with less fear of injury or damage to the items they are cleaning. Pros: small, easy to set up, easy to use, easy to store. Does not tip. Works well in flat surface, deck cleaning mode and using the wand. Cons: lower pressure than some models. Occasionally I have had to reset the ground fault on the cord, and once, had to reset the outlet. We lost pressure the second time we used it, but I cleaned out the filter on the inlet hose and pressure returned, (must have been dirt in our old garden hose). Before turning on the pump, I run water through the unit (pull the trigger) and watch the transparent inlet hose to ensure all the air is out of the line. This prevents damage to the pump. Also, make sure your supply hose is laid out straight (no kinks, not all coiled on a hose reel) and the water valve is open all the way so that the water flow into the machine is not restricted.

Great Pressure Washer from the weekend warrior
5 Star Review   By ShahLaw on Home Depot - May 12, 2011

Replaced my 3 year old Karcher 1500 psi pressure washer (the $99 yellow one). Used this Husky last weekend to clean my 10x16ft deck. Took a fraction of the time compared to using a wand, more uniform and the pressure is "just right" not to splinter the wood. Very compact for storage. I am very happy with the purchase - wood buy again!!

Pleased
4 Star Review   By Keith99 on Home Depot - Sep 26, 2010

This is the only pressure washer I have ever owned, and I have used it for light-duty around the house. I have been very pleased. It is easy to use, requires no significant maintenance, and is very affordable. So far I've felt it has plenty of power for my jobs around the house.

Great and Easy
4 Star Review   By RichardH on Home Depot - Jul 26, 2010

This washer worked great and was easy to use. I did my two car driveway and my paver back patio (Larger than the driveway) in a couple of hours. It is nice to do a quick switch from washing the pavement to spraying the walls and windows of my home. The intergrated soap dispenser worked well also. I would have given 5 stars if a nozzle was provided so I could spray my 2nd story walls and windows. Nicely Done!

Girl Friendly
5 Star Review   Home Depot

I was shopping for a "girl friendly" pressure washer and this definitely does the trick. I was able to assemble the unit straight from the box (using the directions) and completed my first project (cleaning old railroad ties) without a hitch. Can't wait to get started on other cleaning projects with this handy little pressure washer.

Small jobs - Light Power
3 Star Review   By stashu on Home Depot - Jun 24, 2010

Same as the $99. cheapy washers. Water inlet clamp blew off after 10 min., had to take cover off and buy a .89 clamp to replace the cheap one that had no clamping strength to hold water pressure. I should of returned it but who has the time.

Husky Pressure Washer
4 Star Review   By JAMF on Home Depot - May 26, 2010

Easy to assemble & to use but found the head too lightweight meaning the unit doesn't stay flush to the ground especially with the weight of the cords dragging behind. Had to juggle with the cords & learn how to go forward so that the head stayed down but once I got going I was very pleased on how well it cleaned & changing from the head to the wand is super simple making the job even easier. Job was completed quickly with much less water wasted.

Not enough power
2 Star Review   By SCSR on Home Depot - May 4, 2010

The push-behind feature is a nice concept, but it lacks any real power. I had to use the wand, which defeats the purpose of its convenience. Returning for a simple throw-away model for 50 bucks cheaper - -

Husky Pressure Washer
4 Star Review   Home Depot

The Husky pressure washer was easy to assemble. The product performed well in both the "rug scrubber" position and the wand position. Handling the three cords can be a little tricky, but manageable.

Pros and Cons
4 Star Review   By LakeMartin on Home Depot - Apr 5, 2010

We purchased this last week to supplement the gas pressure washer we have. We needed one that was less difficult to use on a steep hill as well as the back porch, deck, and large cement drive. My experience yesterday was very positive. Although, as with all pressure washers there is the issue of "cord management" and this one is no exception - it worked as advertised and in about 1/2 of the time - at least on the flat drive. Only negative I found so far - if you are working on a flat surface with no down hill drainage and you are using the "deck head" you will need to come back using the wand to help move the dirt away....still - worked efficiently, using less water.........

Problems before I even plugged it in.
1 Star Review   By CMMO on Home Depot - Mar 13, 2010

Even out of the box, I couldn't even complete the assembly without having to make a trip back to HD. The wand's quick connect wouldn't release. Then I finally get it ready to go, and then it wouldn't turn on. 4 different outlets were tried and I still could get no power. At least my local HD has some great people there so I am not stressing about the return, just having to put it all back in the box, that is the bad part. It's too bad, this is a great idea and a great price!

Great for Pool Decks
4 Star Review   By Jewels62 on Home Depot - Dec 6, 2009

This machine was super simple to assemble direct from the box. Worked great on our pool deck. We will be doing our front walkway and driveway next. Much easier and does larger area all at once. Using the wand to do an entire driveway can be tedious. This will definitely solve that issue.

Exceeded my expectation!!
5 Star Review   By Maryboo on Home Depot - Nov 30, 2009

It did an excellent job in cleaning my concrete driveway and front entry steps. I used it for 3.5 hours and the motor never faltered. I used an extension cord when I got to the last third of my driveway and after it has dried up. No problems. Mine had a bonus 1800 psi wand attachment and if you hold the tip 5-6 inches away, it gets the grime in one stroke.

Could be improved...
2 Star Review   By Reviewer12345 on Home Depot - Oct 10, 2009

I purchased this pressure washer to replace a gas powered pressure washer that was no longer operational. I do not like the maintenance associated with gas powered equipment which is why I decided to go electric. I only gave this unit two stars because of the built-in ground breaker kept on tripping. I was not able to use the unit more than 2 minutes at a time. It appears there was a short or the motor was over-heating? The deck cleaner option works ok. You have to spend time to get stains removed. I actually was able to remove stains quicker using the wand instead of the deck cleaner. Since there are two nozzles on the deck, it appears that you will not get full 1400 psi unless you use the wand which is why I received better results with the wand instead of the deck cleaner. The deck cleaner would work great if it had more pressure. I would say the quality of the unit is fair. It has a lot of cheap plastic. I ended up returning due to faulty breaker and exchanged for a 1800 psi electric washer instead.

Two, Two, Two Power Washers in ONE.
5 Star Review   By GeneK on Home Depot - Sep 26, 2009

The Husky Deckmate is a versitile machine that does a great job on decks - with a rotating head that cleans, but doesn't leave the typical 'hot spots' that power sprayers do. And for hard to get at areas, the wand comes off for overhead, sideways or any direction applications. It doesn't have the super pressure that the industrial strength power washers have - but do you really need or even want that? I found the Deckmate just right to wash, but not destroy wood surfaces, concrete too and good for car washing. You can add liquid soap as well to the wash mix. It's small and easily portable. The only drawback I noticed was getting all the cords and hoses tangled when I was working. If your primary need is deck washing, this is hard to beat.

Pleasantly Pleased
5 Star Review   By HandyOne on Home Depot - Jul 13, 2009

I was looking for a pressure washer to clean the driveway, deck and house. I have rented a 2000 psi pressure washer and worried that 1400 psi wouldn't be storng enough. I started on my driveway and was surprised how quickly this unit cleaned and left no lap marks. A nice feature about this unit is: when the trigger is released the unit shuts down and starts right up when triggered again. Good for when the neighbor stopped by to see the results.

Works well...
4 Star Review   By Strokerace on Home Depot - Jun 28, 2009

Great Product
4 Star Review   By Bob56 on Home Depot - May 27, 2009

I purchased this product to pressure wash the driveway, sidewalk and back patio at my home. I only used the water pressure, no detergent or bleach, and it pleasantly surprised me with how well it cleaned all areas. It was very easy to use, by just pushing the unit along. It was not as sloppy as using a spray wand, not to mention there were no streaks! I also used the wand as a conventional pressure washer to clean the area of the patio along the house and the patio furniture. Either way, I was very very pleased with the results. I would highly recommend this unit for use at home.

Performance exceeds expectations
5 Star Review   By CptnRn on Home Depot - May 17, 2009

I half expected the performance of this product to disappoint me, I was very pleasantly surprised. It did an excellent job cleaning the black mold and grunge off of my 20'x50' driveway in only 2 hours, using just the pressure washer, no detergent and cold water. And it used very little water. I used another hand held pressure washer a few years ago, it used far more water and did not clean as well or as evenly. I am very happy with my purchase. The only drawbacks are the short coiling water hose, and the velcro strap which is supposed to hold the pressure water hose coil to the handle keeps slipping off, It needs at least one more strap to hold it to the shaft. Also the swiveling handle made it difficult to control. the direction of the base on occasion. But all things considered it I'm very happy with the purchase.

GREAT MACHINE !!
5 Star Review   By leuj20 on Home Depot - May 9, 2009

I just got done using it and its great !! good pressure and does a great job with the surface cleaning head, I am a profesional tile & grout cleaner and I m actually using it to do some of my small jobs (easier than bring my 200 lbs equipment) and I am amazed with the quality of the machine, the only thing I don't like is the hose (too short)but for 25 dls you get another 25 ft and done. GREAT BUY.

Bad Idea
1 Star Review   By rgr123 on Home Depot - May 5, 2009

I purchased this product to use for cleaning docks and decks. It lacked power but was still somewhat getting the job done. The motor worked for about 2 hours. Once I turned it off, it never came back on. Hopefully the return process for items purchased "online only" works better than this product!
