Great bang for your buck!
5 Star Review   By PRyan on Home Depot - Oct 26, 2012

Great looking machine, bought this unit last year and it killed the snow. One pass went through everything mother nature dished out.

Looks better than it works
2 Star Review   By RW12 on Home Depot - Feb 28, 2012

The Cub Cadet 24 in. looks great, but the quality leaves a lot to be desired. The auger/blower assembly was installed on a slant, so the left side sits on the ground while the right side sits over 1/4" off the ground. No way to fix it, either. When in 1st "gear", the machine moves at a snail's pace, and in 2nd, it takes off like a rabbit, not much slower than in 6th. The engine starts easily on the first or second pull. By the way, delivery was terrible. The freight company made an appointment to show up on a Friday and to call 1 hour before. When I contacted them Friday night, they had no explanation as to why they failed to show, but promised delivery on Saturday. They finally showed up on the following Tuesday, with no call and no excuse.

waiting for snow
4 Star Review   By chris on Home Depot - Jan 24, 2012

I give this 4 stars instead of 5 because I haven't had any snow to try it yet. But it seems to be very well built and was very easy to assemble. It started right up on the first pull

Awesome Piece Of Machinery!!
5 Star Review   By CubKing84 on Home Depot - Jan 23, 2012

This snowblower is excellent!! I bought it a week before our last snow storm, and it performed wonderfully after it. We had about 7.30in of snow in that storm, but it still cut thru the fluffy & wet, slushy snow with no problems at all. Excellent engine. Easy to start (both pull and electric starts). Great maneuverability of both the chute and the transmission gears as well. It is not really a smoker like many other snowblowers. It runs like a mini go-cart motor lol. I was even suprised that it picked up about an inch of snow that was on the ground. That really shocked me! But, to get the most scraping power from the snowblower (like a shovel would...its job), I would suggest lowering the snow shoes a bit (like it says in the manual), and run it at full power for that, though, of course. However, no problems with it at all so far (knock on wood, lol). A really great snowblower to own! :)

Nice looking snow blower, started first time haven't used it
4 Star Review   By a123 on Home Depot - Jan 21, 2012

Cub cadet looks like a good blower. Bought as insurance not to get snow. Set up easily and started right up after assembly. Haven't used yet. Liked the free shipping on this model, did not like that I could not figure out difference between WE model and SWE. Now I know SWE means it has steering

solid machine; reasonably priced
5 Star Review   By Barbie on Home Depot - Jan 17, 2012

The snowblower arrived on the date promised. It came packaged in a sturdy crate. It required minimal assembly (handle bar, etc), and the main engine, rotor, and all was pre-assembled. It took less than 20 minutes to complete the assembly. So don't be put off by the fact that "some assembly" is required. You don't have to be a mechanic. It started up on the first try. Although we haven't used it yet this season, we are anxiously awaiting our first experience with it. We will be the envy of the neighborhood!

Just purchased this early to avoid not being able to get one before they run out like they did last year. Have not used it yet, but it looks like a good choice of a purchase.

I finally used it yesterday
3 Star Review   By Shex on Home Depot - Dec 1, 2011

So yesterday is the first time i have ever used a snow blower. It saved me a ton of time and effort. The only imitation i have found is that you can't use it on any slushy or gunky snow. The only thing i didn't like about it were the wheels. They are not free spinning, because of that, you can't steer it with out dragging the wheels.

Works well
4 Star Review   By Swidy on Home Depot - Nov 23, 2011

Like most other manufacturers there are models with more features; however, for the money this has everything you need to get that snow out of your drive way. It is well built, and starts pretty easily even on those bone chilling days no one wants to be outside clearing snow. Generally an extra prime and pull on the rip cord get it going without an issue. It cuts through all kinds of snow, including wet heavy slushy snow. Sure there are more beefy engines out there but 208 cc's sure do the trick in getting that snow out of your driveway. The chute control arm took a bit getting used to after using the crank style for years. However, it is pretty handy that with a push or pull of the lever you can redirect the chute while still clearing the snow. The in-dash light is definitely useful for those of you who need to clear at night. I made the mistake of listening to my iPod while clearing the driveway and thankfully may neighbor saw the light and stopped as I foolishly turned around in the road (I don't recommend doing that without looking). The one down fall, and the reason for 4 stars is the gas tank. 2 qt or 1/2 gallon capacity. Other models of similar price are generally in the 3/4 to 1 gallon range. This is particularly an issue for me as I clear my 40' double driveway, and three other elderly neighbors driveways. I usually have to fill the tank a couple times. Other than that, so far no complaints here.

Well made, but how will it perform?
4 Star Review   By John on Home Depot - Nov 8, 2011

I received the Cub Cadet 524WE snowblower promptly and delivery service was great. The assembly was easy. I haven't had a chance to use it yet so that's why I gave it 4 stars. By the looks of it though, it should work great. Bring on the snow!

Looks like a great snowblower
5 Star Review   By Junior on Home Depot - Oct 19, 2011

I bought this snow blower over the phone on a Wednesday and the following Tuesday it was delivered. Now that is super fast. Have had no snow as yet so don't know how it is going to perform. Instructions for assembling were very specific and easy to follow. Will give a further review when I get the opportunity to use the snow blower.
