Don't buy this Washer!!!
1 Star Review   By Gary123 on Home Depot - Nov 2, 2011

This is the first product review I have ever submitted. I purchased this Husky Power Washer with the Kohler engine a couple of years ago. I followed all the recommended maintenance and storage procedures. Still, every time I go to use this it is a fight to get it started and keep it started. I have had other Husky products before and have had no problems. Using a Product shouldn't be this hard and I'm tired of fighting with it. I like the brand but with all these problems I don't think I'll ever purchase Husky or Kohler products again. My mistake was not taking it back at the first sign of trouble. It's too late for me, but consider this your warning.

troubled power washer
1 Star Review   By Chuck on Home Depot - Oct 25, 2011

Bought this unit back in 2010 and had no problem until I took it out to use this fall 2011. Would not start at all. checked fuel, plug, oil etc. Tried holding trigger on water wand too, no luck . What did work was my son coming over and loosening up the float bowl directly under the 3x fuel push button. He dropped the bowl and noticed no fuel coming out. After he jiggled the float needle with his finger, the unit started up. The needle was stuck and not allowing any fuel to go through. It sputtered a few times after that but with continuous use, it ran fine. Carb should probably be thoroughly cleaned at some point. Hope this helps.

5 Star Review   By Suntanjam on Home Depot - Sep 1, 2011

Considering the other bad reviews, either I got lucky or other people don't know what their doing. Now on my second season of use. Probably have about 50 hours on it...did the driveway twice, patio area by the pool twice, portions of the house, etc. Starts very easy every time. No leaks, nothing. This is the 4th presuure washer I have owned and it has performed the best out of all of them. If you're looking to buy this model, I don't know what to tell you, other then it has worked perfect for me in Southern Florida.

JUNK
1 Star Review   By Evilbetz on Home Depot - Jun 8, 2011

Junk is the nicest thing I can say about this. Features don't matter if it won't start. I have had this for about 3 years and have spent more time tearing it down and trying to start it than I have spent using it. Worst piece of equipment I have ever bought, and I have bought a lot of cheap stuff over the years.

what a JUNK
1 Star Review   By topbasura on Home Depot - May 29, 2011

I bought this pressure washer about two years ago, and probably used it about 4 time to clean my deck which is what I bought it for. Yesterday I pulled it out to clean my deck and it would not start so I pulled the plug to see if it was dirty cleaned it and than continues to see if I was getting fuel to the carb and was not. Well after looking at the reviews looks like alot of us got sold a piece of junk for alot of money. looks like a carb problem once I got fuel to get to the carb is started leaking fuel everywhere seems to be a common issue with other people also. I hope this is still under warranty, I will call customer service to see what they tell me.

Do not buy this Pressure washer
1 Star Review   By mitch712 on Home Depot - May 6, 2011

I bought this washer at the end of 2009. 6 months later it was leaking gas all over my garage. Husky fixed it via a service center and returned it to me. Now less than 2 years after buying it, the washer is leaking gas again. The repair center employee said he has seen a lot of husky engines. Husky will not fix it this time so I am left with a $320 hunk of junk! I will never buy a product from them again!

Husky 2600 Working well !
4 Star Review   By Gilmen on Home Depot - Mar 22, 2011

I purchased this washer in spring of 2010. I have had no problems with the pump or engine since new. Works great.I stored the unit indoors this year so I did not have to drain the pump, and on start up this year all seems okay. I also run race fuel (111 octane) in all my small engines and equipment and have never had an issue with bad gas. The race fuel does not seem to have a problem with shelf life and since I have no fuel troubles well worth the extra cost. I would recomend this washer. But if I had the extra cash I would purchase the washer with a Honda engine instead just because of the Hondas reputatuon.

1 Star Review   By DisgruntledCustomer on Home Depot - Sep 11, 2010

I used this pressure washer twice and the pump seized. Do not buy this product! The Honda engine starts with just one pull, I wish I could use the engine for something else. Oh well, I'm staying clear of any Husky products moving forward.

I purchased this machine and used it once when the carburator broke. The quality of this product which is a. Kohler Courage XT-7, 173 CC pump is worse than poor. Huskey should replace the pump with something else.

So far so Good
4 Star Review   By Bob1124 on Home Depot - Jun 27, 2010

So far I have not had any issues other than a little oil leak and I think that was because of over filling. The directions state to put the whole bottle in which I thought was much. I have since drained the oil to the correct level. This is my second season using the washer. I had gas troubles this year as the I did leave some gas in it and it caused the carburetor not to recieve any fuel..This is a gas issue since this has happened with other tools I've owned. This has happened since we started using ethanol instead of MTBE. I hope fuel stabilizer will solve this problem as well as running the unit out of gas. I owned a Karcher and I had to rebuild the pump 3 times due to oil leaking and mixing in with the water. Even after the rebuild it still leaked.

1 Star Review   By smrt50 on Home Depot - Jun 3, 2010

I purchased this power washer on May 28, 2010 at Home Depot. When I got the item home, and out of the box, it would not start. I tried for over 2 hours to start the washer, and finally I put it back in the box. I returned the washer for a full refund, and another customer was bringing back a different Husky Power Washer for the same reason. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, this item is JUNK!!!!!

Bad water pump in under 10 hours of use
1 Star Review   By GeorgePOhio on Home Depot - May 27, 2010

The motor is good, but the water pumps are very weak in these, and now I am faced with a $150 cost to buy a new water pump after less than 10 hours of use in two years of owning this. If you read about these, you'll see hundreds of similar cases. Now, it only puts out the pressure of the hose input, which is very bad for me and a costly mistake. Don't confuse this brand with Husqvarna, they made a play on the names, but this brand is low quality that might make it two years and you'll be buying a new water pump like me.

kohler pressure washer
1 Star Review   By sirrufus on Home Depot - May 23, 2010

I bought this pressure washer last summer and it worked great. I stored it in my shop through winter, got it out for the first time this summer, and it ran for about 5 minutes and then quit. It hasn't started since. I've tried everything I could think of to fix it, to no avail. It's frustrating to spend $300+ dollars on a product that will only work for one summer. I would not recommend this product. I wish I would have read the reviews on the internet before making this purchase. Everyone says the same thing. Buyer Beware!!

Powerwasher
1 Star Review   By DRSM on Home Depot - May 23, 2010

Part of the pump housing was cracked (right out of the box) when I bought the 1st one. I took it back for a replacement. I've had the current one 2 years and have used it a total of about 6 hours. Today I started it up and the nipple that you attach the soap container to failed due to metal fatigue! It shot across the yard and water started gushing out of the pump housing. You gotta be kidding me! What a piece of junk. Either Husky or Kohler must be building these things with substandard metal.

Husky 2600 Pressure Washer
1 Star Review   By mada on Home Depot - May 20, 2010

Last year, I purchased the Husky 2600 pressure washer. When I tried to start the pressure washer, I was unable to pull the starting chord at all. I brought the item back to the store and received an exchange. Over the past eleven months , I used the pressure washer twice for a total of 16 hours. It was stored over the winter in a heated airplane hanger. This spring, I changed the oil and added new gas, however, it would not start. I changed the spark plug and checked for the proper gap and it still does not run. I am hoping to receive a credit so I can upgrade to a different make.

husky pressure washer 2600
4 Star Review   By joe937 on Home Depot - May 11, 2010

recently purchased this power washer for cleaning our tractors during hay harvesting season.unit was easy to assemble and has plenty of power to do the job, we found that during initial start up and break in you should keep the wand depressed while pulling start rope to prevent pressure buildup which makes it difficult to start even after one pull. keep wand depressed pull one time and clean with all the power you would ever need. on board soap dispenser works great as well. easy to use and change tips, we use it every day,

This Power Washer is JUNK!
1 Star Review   Home Depot

I bought the Husky2600 with the Kohler engine from HD last summer. Assembled easy and started the first time with no problems. After that would not start or with several attempts. returned it and got an excahnge. The new one ran good for two times. Stored for the winter as directed. Brought it out yesterday checked the oil, topped up the gas, checked the gun and nozzle all good. Primed three times as instructed, but it won' start at all. Tried several times the whole day. Even my family took turns at it! I have read the manual, but no further instructions as to how to correct the problem other than what to check for to trouble shot. Now that I read the reviews her I am not surprised that it does not work! What a piece of JUNK! Don' buy it!

Worked for one season. Stored as instructed. This year it stared first time then cut out after 10 minutes and now its done. Will not start had it checked out but repair man said they would need to take it in and take it apart.. Not worth it. What a waste of money. Seems like other people have the same problems.

Bumpy start, but now very, very happy with Husky
5 Star Review   By smc2010 on Home Depot - Apr 17, 2010

First one out of the box would not start. Finally gave up and took it back. Home depot gladly exchanged it without question, and so I added the cheap 2 year extended warranty while i was there. The second identical one started on the first pull and had an amazing amount of power. The bonus nozzels are great. There was clearly a lot of design put inot hte product and it has a much better configuration compared to our old washer. We love the way the hose wraps up and stores, the way the handles clips on, the multiple locations to store the nozzels on the main unit or the spray handle, the fairly light weight so one person can put it into the truck, etc. After an all day marathon power washing session, we are delighted with the product, the home depot exchange policy, and the great price for so much washing power. Awesoem!!!.

Worked well once and only once!
1 Star Review   By SLPMN on Home Depot - Apr 17, 2010

I purchased this item last fall to wash our new driveway prior to sealing it. It was easy to assemble and worked great out of the box. When I was finished, I changed the oil and stored it as recommended. Today I took it out of storage, changed the oil again, added fresh gas and changed the spark plug but I haven't been able to get it to start. I've tried numerous times and no luck. I would recommend staying away from at least this model if not the entire line of Husky pressure washers. After submitting this review, I'm heading back to Home Depot to see if I can return it and get my money back.

Great Value, with a Name Brand Engine!
5 Star Review   By Propertymanager on Home Depot - Apr 13, 2010

I manage several rental properties and have made use of my pressure washer for decks (works great on old grey decks!), siding, windows, sidewalks, even to remove pealing paint before repainting. This pressuer washer is very easy to transport and the Kohler engine performs great. I have found that if you run out of gas or shut it down- you need to pull the trigger on the wand before restarting or the pump builds pressure when you pull the rope. Once you know this, it starts great every time.

Worked Great 1st Season
1 Star Review   By CompletelyDissatisfied on Home Depot - Apr 6, 2010

Worked great the first season (when it ran). Washed our deck, playscape and house. Did have quite a few issues getting it restarted when it was hot and I ended up flooding it a few times. I stored the unit per the instructions, but when I took it out this season it ran for approx 5 minutes bogged down and stalled. I haven't been able to start it again since. Now I have to bring it in for repair and the thing's less than a year old. Certainly NOT what I expected. Wish I had read these reviews BEFORE purchasing this unit.

Very Handy Pressure Washer
5 Star Review   By FleetWheels on Home Depot - Mar 30, 2010

The Husky gasoline pressure washer with a Kohler engine is a 5 star product. For a home owner, it is easy to operate and light weight. My only wish is that it had a larger gas tank for at least a half of day of operation. Read and follow the owner's manual and you will not have any problems. Tumwater, WA Home Depot and the employees are the best.

WARNING! WARNING! DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!!
1 Star Review   By robsterfromcolumbusga on Home Depot - Mar 6, 2010

This is the most useless piece of equipment that I have ever purchased, bar none! It only worked withpout problems for about 5 hours of use. Since then I have had the carbeurator worked on (not covered by warranty). I have replaced the thermal relief valve because it leaked. Then before I could get it to work after that, the unit lost all it's pressure and now I will have to fix it again. $300.00 bucks for 5 hours of use and several hours of headaches. SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES, YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED!

DO NOT BUY
1 Star Review   By aConsumer on Home Depot - Mar 4, 2010

Initial use was positive, the engine started with three pulls and the pressure washer cleaned like a champ. Worked great the first few weeks (total of 10-12 hours of use over a few weekends). Unit was stored in a shed and not used for a couple months. Starter cord broke after third pull, and now I am told the carbuerator needs to be replaced. Repair expense almost half of original cost, for a unit that is barely six months out of the box.

Pressure Washer Reject
1 Star Review   By mhorsewhiz on Home Depot - Feb 23, 2010

The carb leaked first time I used it straight out the box. Worked fine for a few times. the carb leaks now every time used. The soap container leaks in 2 places on bottom where it is seamed together. It will start up the first time then you will wear yourself out trying to restart. The hose real bad about kinking up. Do not buy, spend a little more money buy a good one.

Poor Value
1 Star Review   Home Depot

Right out of the box, this unit disappoints. The Kohler engine is very, very difficult to get started. Once started, the engine tends to stall often. The hose is a killer to re-wind, almost a 2 person job, which is ridiculous. Spend the extra money for the Honda engine, or pursue another brand...

Cleaning Machine
5 Star Review   By JontheHandyman on Home Depot - Jun 21, 2009

Purchased this unit on Friday. It took about 15 minutes to assemble. Started on the second pull. In the first two days I used this machine for about five hours with no issues. Seems to runout of gas after one hour running time. Each time I ran it out of gas; filled tank; pumped the pump button three times as per instructions. Machine started on second pull everytime. Ocassionally I got it wet with indirect water from pool enclosure and had no problems. I replaced a larger machine with this model and so far so good. Good machine for the dollar. Easy to lift and handle.

Peice of junk
1 Star Review   By painterdude on Home Depot - Jun 16, 2009

This power washer is the worst I've ever owned. I used it for 1 and a half hours. The power switch is right on top so it got wet and shorted out and I couldn't turn it off. Finally I banged on it and it turned off. So I tried to start it again and the power switch again became a problem. It finally started to kick over and died out. So I tried again. This time the cord broke off. If I were rich, I'd beat that thing with a hammer rather than return it. Stay Away from this pressure washer. Poorly designed with many flaws. Spend the extra money on one that is worth it.

2600 PSI, 2.4 GPM, Axial Cam Pump, Pressure Washer
4 Star Review   By CPHAYES01 on Home Depot - Jun 8, 2009

This is a great unit for the money. Easy to start and use. My only complaint is the hose that comes with it should be 50 feet. This way you can cover more area without having to move the unit around as much. The Kohler engine is plenty powerfull and not too noisy.

No problems, but a couple of suggestions for users
5 Star Review   By BlackandGold on Home Depot - Jun 8, 2009

I bought this Friday and used it all weekend. I had no problems. This was a home applciation (deck, siding, concrete pads) and everything looks new again. I can't speak to the longevity of the product, but I'll comment again if there's a problem. A couple of things...I'm usually a non-reader of manuals- it's got a shooting end and a holding end- pretty easy to figure out, right? Read the manual. The oil comes with it, BUT IT'S NOT in the engine. Per manual, change oil after 3-5 hours the first time, so buy another thing of oil when you pick it up. Old car engines used to have break in periods too and if you didn't follow them, you would pay for it. Next oil change is at 50 hours. The tips don't stay in the on board holder well. They'll rattle loose. There's a screen where the garden hose attaches to the unit. I almost lost mine when I disconnected the hose. Make sure you don't lose it. Lastly, just from personal experience, drain the gas when you're done and let the enginge run itself dry. About the other reviews, all I can say is I wonder if they lost the fresh water screen or didn't change the oil after the first 3-5 hours.

Hard Start
2 Star Review   By sadieann01 on Home Depot - Jun 3, 2009

When I brought it home the first time it started great, after the first fill of gas it would not start again. Engine flooded. Finally got it started and kept filling while it was running. Second, and third day of use was great, started on the first pull. Now on the 4th day it won't start, and is flooded again. When it works it is great, but getting it started may not be worth the trouble. Maybe if it had the Honda engine it would be better, but this Kohler is not what I expected. It also take a long time to build up pressure once started.

1 Star Review   By Daxathon on Home Depot - Apr 18, 2009

I bought this towards the end of last summer and used it twice last year. This year I took it out and got it started up. No problem really with the Honda engine. The problem is that it seems the pump is seized or some other malfunction. No water comes out of the hose. None. Even if I disconnect the high pressure hose from the machine no water comes out. I checked everything that I could for clogs and don't find any. There must be blockage or some other problem inside the unit. So basically, I paid $300 and got 2 uses out of it. I am very disappointed in this product. Nothing in the troubleshooting section of the manual to address this issue. A google search showed that other Husky owners are reporting the same problem. Sounds like a design flaw. I recommend you skip the Husky and pay a little more for the Karcher.

Excellent
5 Star Review   By 22kart on Home Depot - Apr 8, 2009

I just bought this pressure washer this last weekend. It was easy to put together, and ran like a top when I used it. The place to put the wand is nice. most wands fall off, this one stays put. An all around great product.
