This Generator is Better than I Ever Thought Possiable.
5 Star Review   By CaptBill on Home Depot - Nov 27, 2012

You can stop looking and Buy This One. This generator can not be beat. Not in ANY Catagory. Reliability, Price, Ease of Start, Quiet Running, AND it Efficiently powers More than I really need. I ran a 58" Plasma TV, a Blue-Ray player, Surround sound system, a full size refrigerator, 3 interior lights, and 2 500W exterior lights, and charged cell phones. I even briefly used my microwave to nuke up a hot meal! This Generator IS AMAZING! I LOVE IT! I can't say enough wonderfull things about it. I like it SO Much I painted it my favorite color. No One would Ever Regret buying one of these.

Leaked gas first time running
1 Star Review   By rama on Home Depot - Nov 10, 2012

i had bought this in April 2012. i took it out and ran it during hurricane Sandy in Oct. started quickly after filling oil and gas but leaked gas from the air cleaner. i had to shut it down, noise level was also higher than advertised (67 db). also did not take much load . my sump pump (tried with neighbors as well) did not run. Only could power a few lights. i called customer service few times. their suggestions were not very helpful to fix the issue. One of reps sounded a bit rude over the phone. Overall a big disappointment as i could not power my essential items during hurricane. wasted a lot of time. planning to send it across to service center , get it repaired. will buy another reliable brand.

Excellent on gas
5 Star Review   By fvnewjersey on Home Depot - Nov 4, 2012

Bought this generator before Sandy. It's very easy to use. Runs extremely smooth, no vibration. Great on gas, better than listed. Been runnning for 6 days 12-16 hours a day with no problems. Very important to follow instruction manual. Only negative is RV receptical, if you are using this for home you will need a 110 adaptor for plug in. Make sure you start it with no load and stop it with no load. Change the oil after 5hour break-in (10-30 synthetic). Overall I am very impressed.

Great generator at a reasonable price
5 Star Review   By wheels on Home Depot - Nov 2, 2012

We bought two of these generators a few days before hurricane sandy hit new jersey. We figured with two refrigerators and many more small appliances we would need more than 3500 watts. We had never heard of the name champion before so we were skeptical of how well it would perform but after the engine fired up on the first pull our worries were put at ease. It ran great and we left in out in the driving wind and rain the whole time with no protection. We powered two refrigerators, a radio, 42" lcd tv, xbox, lights, and charged 3 cell phones alll off of one generator and even with both compressors running in the refrigerators the generator had no problem keeping up and we did not trip the breaker once. Tota run time was about 24 hours or so and it was great on gas for how much load was on it. It went about 10 hours on a full tank of gas powering two refrigerators only and probably could have gone longer but we didnt want to run the tank dry.. All in all, great generator, and a lot cheaper than a lot of the comptetition. I also liked the quick start paper...straight and to the point when you need to get it running fast.
