Great for nailing and trim work, inflating and dusting off your work bench. Had to buy a hose as it did not come with one, no big deal.

5 Star Review   By Thomas on Home Depot - Jun 4, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this compressor along with a nail gun, finish nail gun and stapler air gun set for doing trim work around the house and it worked great. Then I bought a tire pressure, control nozzle kit. Come to find out it's excellent for almost everything that needs air.. bike tires, car tires, pool toys, cleaning things with air and birthday balloons. Birthday Balloons WOW! Talk about fast.

the perfect compressor
5 Star Review   By CatHenry on Home Depot - May 14, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this after buying a smaller one that had me buying extra parts and such. This one was perfect. It came ready to use with my hose, was very compact, and did run constantly like my old one. I have used it non-stop for framing walls and building a window seat. It handled my framing gun and finishing gun without any issues.

5 Star Review   By atooluser on Home Depot - Apr 23, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

It doesn't come with hose or any attachments like other combo deal. It runs good out of the box. Noise level OK. Just have it for three weeks so doesn't know about durability. I use it about an hour a day, and I got about a teaspoon of water after two days when I drained the tank.

3 Star Review   By HDepotdisappointee on Home Depot - Mar 20, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Got this compressor 2 months ago. just now using it and right out of the box, it leaks. The leak is under the plastic shroud, so no idea what's leaking exactly. Of course it's also got allan head fasteners, and I don't have wrenches long enough to access the bolts... Not sure exactly how to rate this unit...

Great value
5 Star Review   By NotSoCasualObserver on Home Depot - Mar 12, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this compressor to use with a pneumatic stapler for upholstery projects. It fit the job perfectly. It is small enough to move with relative ease and takes up relatively little storage space, yet provides plenty of punch. The only drawback, and this is my fault for not doing better investigation, is that its limited horsepower prevents me from using it for spray painting.

Excellent item especially at this price
5 Star Review   By Cjqix on Home Depot - Mar 2, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I have used the Porter cable cpancake type compressors before (owned by others) and always wanted one but could not afford one. The price came down on these just as the compressor I was using failed so I purchased one online. It was deliverdby UPS, no damage in shippng and I went through the break in recomended by opening the water drain valve on the bottom and running it with no pressure build up for 15 minutes. I then let it sit for 1/2 half hour cooling off then I closed the valve and started using it. Works perfectly, no leaks, very quiet compared to others in this class and it's 26 pound weight makes it easy to carry to 3rd floor jobs.

Compressor drawbacks
3 Star Review   By Benjamin on Home Depot - Feb 28, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I use this compressor for blowing air, inflating tires, and an impact wrench. The 10 in. black line on the side of the compressor will start to leak if it is not wiggled into place correctly. They should use a copper flare nut fitting to carry air not a black hose. Other than that the compressor works fine.

Good product - little pricey
3 Star Review   By JCAVA on Home Depot - Feb 26, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

When the previous model [same manufacturer] failed, i tried to find a comparable product. this was the best option from a price-performance basis - assuming it at least as long as the last [4 years]. i do notice that this one "dances" on the floor more than the previous one

Does not squish pancakes
5 Star Review   By MarkA on Home Depot - Feb 5, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

..but it drives nails well. Is lighter and charges quicker than my 30 gallon compressor. Good for a finish nailer or nailgun. I wouldn't use it for an impact wrench or spraygun.

great compact compressor
5 Star Review   By bill on Home Depot - Jan 8, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this this for its compact size, it easy to carry and fits in truck. It has no problem keeping up with flooring stapler or nailer. Can't beat the price.

Christmas Present
5 Star Review   By ACC1 on Home Depot - Dec 27, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought the Pancake Compressor as a Christmas gift for my son-in-law. He was very excited as he opened the gift and couldn't wait to get it home so he could use it. He has been remodeling the basement of his house so this will come in handy for the work he has to to do.

Quality
1 Star Review   By Steve on Home Depot - Dec 26, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Received as a Christmas gift. First time out of box regulator would jump from 60 psi to over 90 psi. Could not get it to slowly increase. Screws on back of outflow gauge were missing allowing gauge to vibrate and bounce against needle. Returning compressor to store.

Perfect project compressor
5 Star Review   By Dave on Home Depot - Nov 22, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I picked this up on sale this fall to complete a shed project. Worked great for both framing and finish nailing. Can't comment on all day, every day workload, but worked great for me. Excellent value even at full price. Going to give one to dad for Christmas.

I got more than what I paid for
5 Star Review   By mattintexas on Home Depot - Oct 31, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought mine about 4 years ago as a kit and then bought the 16g straight finish nailer to install a hardwood floor and all the appearance trim. The compressor has not faultered, although I did replace the relief as the threads wore out. The compressor still holds its pressure and charges quickly (although very loud). Regarding the nailer, I shot approximately 11,000 nails while installing the floor and had less than 5 misfires. I consider that reliable. If either break, I'll happily buy another one.

terrible
1 Star Review   By Tom8974 on Home Depot - Aug 27, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The compressor seemed to struggle the very first time I turned it on. After several cycles, the compressor wouldn't kick on anymore. At first I figured I had tripped a breaker, but that wasn't it. The compressor seemed very warm, but I couldn't imagine that it had overheated after such limited light duty use. I called it a day and figured I just needed to adjust my expectations for this little compressor. This morning I turned it on and it cut out before it even made it to 30 psi. I will be returning it to the store this evening.

Just right for me... I love it!!!
5 Star Review   By Alloy on Home Depot - Aug 16, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I needed a portable air compressor primarily for air blowing dust and dirt in our home appliances and machines. I also fix computers and the insides old desktops can be so dirty. I thought about getting those 1 or 2-gallon air compressors but I knew I will probably be needing more reserve air for bigger jobs like cleaning our home AC evaporator. This Porter Cable does the job better than the hose vacuum I used before. 2.0 SCFM @ 90 psi is better than most competition of the same price range that does less than 1.0 SCFM at the same pressure. The output regulator is easy to adjust for more delicate electronics just in case you accidentally squeeze the trigger of your blow gun too much. Very portable especially for one who is suffering arthritis. For my purpose, this unit is an excellent buy. I strongly recommend it!

I really like this product
4 Star Review   By cdela on Home Depot - Jul 10, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This product is a replacement of the same compressor I have had for years that finally the motor went out on. I like it because I am a woman and I can easily carry this size and it has enough power to do all of the projects around the house that I ask of it.

5 Star Review   By Larry on Home Depot - Jul 10, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I noticed my roofer had one of these. I asked him how he liked it. He said he had his 6 or 7 years with no problems. That sold me. Very pleased so far.
