Great value
4 Star Review   By tsdico on Home Depot - Jun 18, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this to replace an older compressor that was leaking. This model has the same capacity and nearly the same specs as the older one, but is much lighter and a little more compactly built. That said, the motor sounds a bit unrefined, as if it needs oil (this is an oil free compressor) to smooth things out a bit. It worries me that the motor might fail sooner than later, but only time will tell on that point. One other small gripe, the connectors are a bit harder to push my hoses into - the older ones were just a push and click, these you have to hold the lock open to push in. Just something to get used to I guess. In summary, I've very happy with my purchase -good bang for my buck - already used it to build a banquet in the kitchen, put in some trim, and fill some tires.

One time use product
1 Star Review   By Marc on Home Depot - Jun 15, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I bought this to do some moulding work and it worked fine. I stored it for a year and the next time I needed it, the regulator wouldn't work: pumped up the tank fine but no air coming out. I agree with the other reviews here: this is a cheaply made, one-time use product.

Poor
1 Star Review   By Matt on Home Depot - Jun 13, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Purchased online to pick up in store. When arrived to claim purchase, the only one store had was the display. I accepted it. Once home attempted to use product, the drain plug was missing from bottom of compressor. It was useless to me. Very unhappy with product and purchase from home depot.

Has worked flawlessly for over 3 years
5 Star Review   By timtsb on Home Depot - May 29, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I purchased this compressor from Home Depot in the spring of 2010 for a pretty unique use - I was starting a bicycle rental business. I've operated that business for the past 3 summers and this compressor has never let me down. Each summer, the compressor gets used and abused but it's still going strong. When it comes time to replace my original compressor, I plan on purchasing this same model again.

Regulators are junk.
1 Star Review   By DIYER on Home Depot - Apr 13, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

The regulators are the worst component and not readily available. It only lasted for one remodel job in my basement. The price of the replacement, if you can find one is half the price of the compressor itself. I'll just go and buy another brand.

Works Perfectly
4 Star Review   By Jime on Home Depot - Apr 9, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I followed the instructions for break-in and the unit has performed flawlessly. It is perfect for light duty and very handy for a multitude of uses around the house and garage. I just wish I had purchased one a long time ago.

The price is Right!
4 Star Review   By 2000mike on Home Depot - Feb 19, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I do a lot of finish nailing with this one and can say it does the job. On occation used a framing nailer but not for long use. I find using a 12 or 10 cord makes it purr alot better then straining with weeker cables. Have owned it for about 4 years and only now the pet cock leaks air and I had to replace it. But the replacement did not work either. I am going to try a new one again and if that fails will just buy another one and use this one for parts.

Watch out at the one year point!
2 Star Review   By Rick on Home Depot - Feb 6, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

While the price was right (at the time), I've now realized that I should have purchased a better and more expensive model. I had fairly good service at the beginning, but as time went by the unit started having issues. At the one year mark, and the end of the warranty, it stopped functioning completely! It held the air, but I couldn't get it out. And it happened when I needed it the most (while assisting a neighbor with her flat tire.). So, as the saying goes, you GET what you PAY for...

Porter Cable C2002
4 Star Review   By Dawn on Home Depot - Jan 30, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

This air compressor is light enough to move around fairly easily. Weight less that another brand's 3 gallon size. It seems to work fine, but since we have only used it once so far, don't know about the test of time. It did not come with an air hose, which was surprising.

Relatively quiet and powerful
5 Star Review   By KC0TWB on Home Depot - Jan 23, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Relatively quiet compared to other compressors I have used. Surprisingly powerful and not too heavy. I would recommend this compressor to family and friends.

Piece of junk
1 Star Review   By Lawnman on Home Depot - Jan 20, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

Had this compressor less than a year. Used about 4 times then stopped working. Used mainly to blow up tires. Took it porter cable repair center. Was told the regulators on these models are junk. They recommended not fixing it. Better to buy a different brand. Lost my receipt so I was stuck paying for the repair

Not Bad...
4 Star Review   By briansei on Home Depot - Jan 19, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I have to admit, i've put this little compressor through quite the test. I do remodeling on the side and didn't see spending the money on a big name compressor for six or seven jobs a year, which was the case when i bought it. For the last year or so it leaked air from the regulator knob.. after taking it apart i found it to be a small rubber seal inside the regulator adjustment knob. They do not sell just that seal, you have to buy the whole regulator. Im currently trying to find some sort of o-ring to make it work or a used regulator to rig up. This is something that will fail in a few years reguardless of use (sooner if you use it more), so take that into consideration when purchasing. At the price, I definitely feel i have gotten my money out of it and it owes me nothing.

Poor Quality with the original Air Release Valve. Leaking Air!
3 Star Review   By BuckeyePork on Home Depot - Jan 10, 2013    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I received my 6 gal. 150 PSI Porter Cable Compressor as a Christmas Gift from my Wife. She & my Daughter in law purchased it as a combination Compressor/3 Nailer with Accessories Bag. It worked fine for about 5 months and the Compressor started leaking air from the hose connection. I had to have it fixed (on Warrantee) by a certified Porter Cable Service Technition. It has worked fine since then. Cross my fingers!

3 Star Review   By Ronald on Home Depot - Dec 21, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I along with WoodyWoodNailer are having the same problem from leaking air to the popping of pressure relief valve. I only air up tires with product now,no time to babysit unit waiting for valve to pop and release air. This is a wax on/wax off (on/off) unit only....3 star at most

This Compressor is Tough
5 Star Review   By ShadowProperties on Home Depot - Nov 9, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I recently purchased this to supplement my 10 year old Porter Cable compressor (still running perfectly as well) for a large roofing job. As I was pulling on the hose (trying to get another 6 inches out of it) I got a little out of control and the whole thing went rolling off the roof. I recovered it, cleaned the dirt out of the cooling fins, and plugged it back in. I thought it might be dead but it was only battered- it went right back to work and has been running flawlessly since. If you're hard on your tools this is the one for you.

Good price, compressor has poor quality and durability
2 Star Review   By WoodyWoodNailer on Home Depot - Oct 15, 2012    ( See more reviews from Home Depot )

I have had two of these, and they worked great for about 1-2 years, then they both began leaking air internally and the pressure relief valves popped well before maximum pressure was reached. Quite a disappointment for relatively low levels of use. No one wants to repair them, so they become junk. The included guns rarely jam and are easy to use.
